  • Now that you're back, what is the name of this song?! :)

  • lol u must make 6 figures to be buyin all these striders and customs

  • Thanks Dave, another great knife vid.

By the way, what's the length of this knife's blade?

  • I wonder if nycdave has had to go underground because of the new knife laws, lol. Come back man, I miss the reviews.

  • what was the song in the beginning, also i dont think ive ever seen a more beautiful knife than this one right now

  • @TH3aznEmperor I, too, would like to know what song that is at the beginning. It is a familiar tune and now it's bothering me that I don't know what it is, lol.

  • Very unique folder! I don't go in for fluting on blades myself but Brian's job on that is absolutely stellar.love the filework on the handle too. Is the pattern on the handle CNC machined or did he do that by hand?

  • always like to come back and watch this vid,,such a beautful knife, and you really do the it justice with your very intelligent review.

  • @JohnWayneColt45

Much thanks, Man! Really appreciate the repeated viewing - means a lot, Man!

    Thanks!

  • @nycdave212 No doubt bro,,Love your channel!!

  • WELL DONE SIR. That was a great video, and a great representation of a beautiful custom product. Very rarely do you see this type of quality oration in video reviews.

  • @Redpitbull44

Much thanks on all accounts, Man!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Also I may get one of these, Identical but a slightly more polished blade, and a slightly glossier cf. probably wont, will take me a while to scrape together the money.

  • @EDCgearreviews

Very cool... definitely worth the wait, Man!

    Thanks for watching!!

  • Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me what your thumb ring is called, and who makes it.

  • @EDCgearreviews

Heya, Man! I actually have no idea who made it... I picked it up in a shop here in NYC's diamond district... just saw it, and liked it. Sorry can't help ya more.

  • I would buy that knife! It looks like a Whale when it is open!! Great Design ******!

  • @lookin4memarbles

Thanks, Man! Now that you mention it, it kinda does, doesn't it? ;)

    Thanks for watching!

  • @lookin4memarbles congrats on the silver!!!

  • Dave, very cool knife! I've been a fan of Brian's work for quite a while as well, though I havent been fortunate enough to own any of his work. Another excellent video, I really enjoy them from you. Question for you, in many of your video's you've got a cigar and a drink, if you don't mind my asking, what are you usually drinking? bourbon? scotch?

  • @JesusTheDiscoDJ

I hear ya, Man! I was a fan for a long time too before I was able to get the one I wanted... worth the wait ;)

Hmm... I don't indulge in a drink too often, but most of the time it'll be a bourbon. Every now and then a scotch... Depends on the mood, ya know? Your preference?

Thanks again for watching & the support!

  • @nycdave212

I'll have a scotch very rarely, but every now and then.

I asked because I've actually never had a bourbon, and so I picked up a bottle of Blanton's today to give bourbons a shot. Have any recommendations?

  • @JesusTheDiscoDJ

PM Sent... good to see ya on the USN as well!

  • That is some serious eye candy right there!! I checked out his site, his prices are beyond reasonable for that level of craftsmanship and detail! Congrats!!

  • @macjmillsx

Thanks, Man! He does make some serious eyecandy... I love his Damasteel creations.

Thanks for watching Man! And waiting on a new vid from you ;)

  • Beautiful knife, a functional work of art...Looks 1st class in every detail. 5*s for a good review.

  • @vulcangunner58

    Well said, Man!

    Thanks! And thanks for watching!

  • Wow! Beautiful Blade! It's amazing how light the knife is for it's size. Just a wicked looking blade design. You are a very lucky man. Great Video, Dave!

BTW, The pocket clip is still on the knife, LOL!!!!

Cigar and Wine night over some fine Blade Talk!

    As Always Great Video!

  • OOHH wicked cool.

  • @lenny380

    Well said, Man!

    Thanks for watching!

  • I think I seen a similar looking knife made by Brian Tighe using Damasteel in Blade magazine. Awesome!!!

  • @bankmind80

The pieces that use the Damasteel are just stunning! Do you remember which issue of Blade it was in?

  • It was in the Blade issue December 2009 on page 36...just stunning! I like your version better to be honest...but the Damasteel versions is nice eye candy for sure!

  • damn, wassup big ass cigar!

    that edge looks sweet.

  • @kenthenoob

Haha! Saturday night lounging smoke, Man :)

It is a seriously wicked edge!

    Thanks for watching!

  • Nice looking blade!

  • @bankmind80

Fully agree, Man! Brian's work is incredible!

    Thanks for watching!

  • That is another awesome knife coming from you man! And that's feather weight for the size of that knife.

  • @oromoto

Much thanks, Man! And yep - it is a serious feather weight... yet still a damn solid knife!

    Thanks for watching!

  • BTW, what kind of digi camera/camcorder

do you use? It does a good job focusing

    and the sound is clear.

  • @sungwei9

Been using a Canon HF-20 for these vids... so far, it hasn't disappointed.

  • Beautiful! How much does it weigh? Must

    be a featherweight.

I know this sounds weird, but that blade texture

makes it seem like it'd be good at slicing

    tomatoes.

  • @sungwei9

Haha.. I'm sure it'd be a tomato slicing & dicing demon ;) I'll letcha knof if I ever try it ;)

It comes it at 2.9oz.. Very light and perfectly balanced.. Incredible.

    Thanks for watching!

  • That's a beautiful blade! Wow, I'm heading over to his site now to drool some more, lol! Great vid, thanks for making it!

  • @darkchild57

I hear ya, Man! His site is just temptation incarnate!

I know you're a big fan of CKRTs... Brian has done a number of collaborations with them. Check them out if you haven't seen them already!

  • @bladeimm

You hit it right on the head, Man - "Functional Art". It's one thing to make a beautiful knife, it's another thing to make it a useful, well built knife. Agree with you, some of his other pieces are just stunning! Thanks for watching!

  • Very Nice! Love the Linerless handle and the Plunge lock! Also Like the Recurve Blade. It's Like a combination of My Top 3 Folders!

Btw, should be getting that JH in the next few days! Looking forward to that, thanks again, Man!

  • I've got a CRKT My Tighe, and its one of my Favs11 It's not even close to his customs but its an awesome design and CRKT really did him justice,it has a Really thick Frame lock on it, I was really surprised actually, its alot thicker than more higher end knife Companies' Frame Locks. Thats so cool you got that JH bro, I'm so excited for you,.Your gonna really dig it.I can't wait for your take/review on it. Did you happen to get it from Daniel on BF??

  • @mongomondomongo

Heh, I'd say you're well into it, Man :) You've got an awesome collection. Thanks for watching!

Heya, Jeff! Thanks for watching! Always appreciated, Man! Fully agree with ya!

  • beautiful knife, I wish that i could afford one.

  • @boonie1994

I hear ya, Man... Sometimes it's hard to justify the prices on some knives out there... but I think the detail and effort Brian puts into his work really make it worth while. I hear ya though.. Thanks for the continued support, Man!

  • @sebenzalover - Well, that's his style and one of the things that differentiates his videos from the others. And his thoughts and impression of the knife, in relation to the multitude of others he owns, is what he presents to us.
