i beleive your talking about "where did you sleep last night" amd that was a leadbelly tune. and if you got your facts straight you would know the first time kurt did this was on a collaberation between the trees and nirvana which sadly never got released.
@WastedLifestyle Except for that if you lived in Washington you would know that It never existed. And the whole "grunge" term was never actually used by the people here. Because who would want to be called "grunge"?
@Taped0uT1 hey neighbor! Mark Arm from Mudhoney came up with the term "Grunge" in the 80s to describe Mudhoney's sound. So really,Mudhoney was the ONLY grunge band. Your right,no one else in WA called themselves that name.
i dont think people didnt liek there music, i think they werent huge simply because they did not have that one huge radio hit bands need to break them into the mainstream. all in all, great band!
At their time there wasn't something like the internet. So what TV and Radio played 'existed' while stuff that wasn't played at those platforms 'didn't existed' ... kind a sucks... that was basically the only thing which sucked at the 90ies...
it just proves that record labels don't know shit about music unless it has a whorry teenager willing to cram sex down our throats to sell records instead of actual talent.
I think they are trying to say that THIS is real talent, and instead what is huge right now are whorry (sic) teenagers willing to cram sex down your throat in order to sell records lol.

@LivesUnderABridge You know who he kinda looks like?
Andrew Wood, the singer from Mother Love Bone.
He's got that kinda mystical look to him, especially through the eyes.

Wasn't "Nearly Lost You" on the "Singles" soundtrack? I can remember them playing that song quite a bit on the radio for a hot minute.
Maybe they didn't really want to be huge? I wouldn't blame them. Maybe he took some advice from Kurt...
