  • screaming trees should reunite

  • SO proud my woman is the sister to one of the original Screaming Trees!!! Love you Jody!

  • im so happy that this upload is not on vevo.

  • God I love the 90s feel....

  • @JustOneMeatPuppet finally someone that understand me

sorry the english* im not very good with that :c

  • This reminds me of my ex-girlfriend who showed me this great band...big love...great feelings...amazing band

  • one person dislike......XDXD

  • Mark Lanegan looks like Ron Perlman.

Whiskey For the Holy Ghost has to be my fave album from his solo venture.

  • @BejnXander Mark Lanegan and Ron Perlman should both be inducted into the SONS OF LEE MARVIN secret society.

  • Mark Lanegan looks like Will Ferrell with long hair.

  • @LivesUnderABridge You know who he kinda looks like?

Andrew Wood, the singer from Mother Love Bone.

He's got that kinda mystical look to him, especially through the eyes.

  • like a grunge version of a syd barret pink floyd song...

  • Mmmm,I want some Butterfly on my toast!

  • Check out Stilldawn s running man or the voodoo doll... fuckin great

  • GRUNGE MUSIC=REAL MUSIC

  • Will Ferrell?

  • brilliant song this - i tried to push it on my last band, but it never really worked out....

  • trippy as fuck

  • Love the melody. Sad that most songs today can't even hold a candle to this one.

  • in the title of the video, they spelled trees wrong, but good song!

  • Catchiest chorus I ever heard

  • "up to an empty room four walls around nothing tobe found.." PERFECT

  • One of the best Screaming Trees. Lanagan, after S.T. got involved with QOTSA also.

  • im sick and i want to go home!

  • This video is amazing!!

I want to go back to 90's :(

  • @ritapar87

    yeah~ 90's !!!! loves 90's~ :)

  • I say he looks a little like Tom Waits, too. Or perhaps Ron Perlman?

  • zolotoy3211: Yes, a bit on both counts... good eyes...

  • mark kinda looks like will ferrell in this

  • No way will ferrell is chad smith from the rhcp

  • Mark DOES look like Jim Morrison...

  • alittle

  • yes, lanegan.

  • This is good psychedelia ( ( O ) )

  • This music gets me high without the need of cannabis or other shitty expensive drugs.

  • same man. and I can't risk doing any drugs seeing as physocsis in in family. XD

  • is that Mark Lanegan?? maybe not.

  • this song sounds like a country song and the singer looks like one of them

  • cool as shit...

  • Screaming Trees rules.

  • troll

  • That's why Nirvana "covers" Lanegan's In The Pines... Trees came first. (no pun intended)

  • LAWL.

  • umm the pines is a dolly parton song brosky....

  • It is a traditional American folk song which dates back to at least the 1870s

  • i beleive your talking about "where did you sleep last night" amd that was a leadbelly tune. and if you got your facts straight you would know the first time kurt did this was on a collaberation between the trees and nirvana which sadly never got released.

  • Are you saying Screaming Trees were before Nirvana? Check your stuff man. 1987 is when Nirvana formed.

  • And in 1987 Screaming Trees released their SECOND album.

  • And God saw that it was good

  • Screaming Trees formed in 1984

  • Zeppelin? Noooo. And Nirvana wasn't even the first grunge band, it ws Green River

  • Grunge is a stupid stereotype produced by the media.

  • Actually the term grunge was coined by Mudhoney, not the media.

  • lol its like a grunge version of Jim morrison..... i can see morrison running in circles around a fire singing fly fly butterfly.....

  • Finally someone who sees it - Lanegan looks like Ferrell. SO SAD!

  • he reminds me a bit of Will Ferrell

  • hahahA That's funny...a Will Farrell with long hair!! lolzzz

  • i was thinking seth rogen, he looks more like will ferrell though

  • HAHA I was thinking WIll Ferrell too!

  • pysch - o - delic

  • @EvanTheKillerWolf psych - e - delic

  • I love this! sounds like Tea Party on Acid :D

  • I'm awestruck. Best band on this effing planet! Not only they had best songs - it seems that they had best videos also!...

  • GRUNGE RULEZ!

  • @WastedLifestyle Except for that if you lived in Washington you would know that It never existed. And the whole "grunge" term was never actually used by the people here. Because who would want to be called "grunge"?

  • @Taped0uT1 sorry for you.

  • @Taped0uT1 hey neighbor! Mark Arm from Mudhoney came up with the term "Grunge" in the 80s to describe Mudhoney's sound. So really,Mudhoney was the ONLY grunge band. Your right,no one else in WA called themselves that name.

  • i dont think people didnt liek there music, i think they werent huge simply because they did not have that one huge radio hit bands need to break them into the mainstream. all in all, great band!

  • Wasn't "Nearly Lost You" on the "Singles" soundtrack? I can remember them playing that song quite a bit on the radio for a hot minute.

Maybe they didn't really want to be huge? I wouldn't blame them. Maybe he took some advice from Kurt...

  • to

    KingKatzenjammer:

    "that´s true!"

  • I really don't understand how these guys didn't get huge, I just can't understand how other people can't love their music.

  • At their time there wasn't something like the internet. So what TV and Radio played 'existed' while stuff that wasn't played at those platforms 'didn't existed' ... kind a sucks... that was basically the only thing which sucked at the 90ies...

  • Of course there are a lot of downsides to the internet too. I have to say, shit was so much more interesting without it.

  • true....

  • "GRUDGE " :)

  • It's Screaming Trees, NOT TreSS

  • me trae buenos recuerdos esta cancion =D

  • cryyyyyyyy cryyyyy butterflyyyy

    GRUDGE RULES (Y)

  • GRUNGE RULEZ UNTIL NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love screaming trees!!!!

  • Sweet Oblivion is one of the best albums ever! Mark Lanegan's voice rules!

  • it just proves that record labels don't know shit about music unless it has a whorry teenager willing to cram sex down our throats to sell records instead of actual talent.

  • what does this video have to do about sex? just wondering

  • I think they are trying to say that THIS is real talent, and instead what is huge right now are whorry (sic) teenagers willing to cram sex down your throat in order to sell records lol.

  • i seriously love screaming trees.....unreal song and great (if vaguely disturbing) film clip.....ahhhh, wonderful wonderful....

does anybody know how i could get my hands on a copy of their album 'uncle anasthaesia'?.....damnably hard to get....

    thanks guys......

  • I'm terribly, udderly in love with Lanegan's voice.

  • @lasnot Udderly ? You're udderly in love with the voice ?

    Udder = cow tits

  • S.T.s records for SST and Sub Pop were amazing, their recordings for Epic were not my cup of tea

  • dde iv seen this video 5,000,000,000,000 times and i just now noticed it says 'tress' lol

    i feel slow. lol

  • their best video!

  • Butteryfly? It's just Butterfly.
