Right now everything may seem great from a traffic/registrant standpoint, but i'm telling you, the quality of content at that site (user-generated content) has gone completely south. Most of the dialogue on your site is vanilla/game-hype. There is no cross-analysis on features, state of the industry, game mechanics, etc. The only threads at OS generating tons of interest now are threads made by devs or threads about the sites nazi-esque moderating.

And finally, based on many of the dumb things you say at your forum (all the mommy-esque handslapping you do - that makes you come off like a complete idiot) I wouldn't be surprised if you're too shallow to take these comments for what they are. Don't be offended by them, embrace them. Incorporate them with ALL of the negative feedback about the way that site is run, and make some very necessary changes. Because that's what needs to be done to save that sites long term viability.

It isn't normal for a site to stimulate the kind of resentment OS has earned. There are many niche sites/forums that grow HUGE in registrants and keep what initially made them so attractive in the process. OS has failed to do so. You don't back up publishers/developers and spite your own community members in the process.

Every time a critical comment about a game-bug, or a game-publisher is made, and it gets locked/filtered by one of your mods, it erodes the sites credibility.

So true. The clowns at Operation Sports forums are the worst Nazi's you'll ever find. They have their little clique of people and they gang up on new people that come in.

Jim and Knight and all those guys are terrible, and the mods and admin are horrible as well.

Best thing to do is not register and just sit back and read what the developers have to say and not say anything, otherwise you'll get ganged up on by the clique.

On top of that, they are the biggest brown nosers I've seen on a forum
