  • Hey! when Alton started the Salmon steaks on the grill he had 4 of them then he had 3 ?? what happen to one of them?? Oh Oh O_O

  • I love how Alton MacGyvers the salmon steaks into little medallions perfect for grilling. I'm definitely trying out the recipe that starts at 4:40 this week!

  • thats not a plastic plate thats a ceramic plate that his crew had at the filming site, which wouldn't have melted and the plate wasn't on the burner long enough to burn him

  • It might not even be ceramic or plastic, it could be silicon compound. It doesn't make a good plate for indoors but for outdoors, it's hard to break and easy to clean.

  • Fish skin, esp salmon & cod,is rich in omega oils.Fish skin doesn't need marinating. Simply season the flour with pepper, salt and a little baking powder. Coat the skin with the flour and bake it or deep fry it. It stays crispy even after a day and it goes very well with beer. While preparing it,just make sure it's just skin, no fish bits attached.The fish fats beneath the skin can be marinated with ketchup or lemon so that it doesn't smell like cod liver oil.

  • None of these recipes had the skin on the fish by the end. There are a lot of healthful oils in that skin, leave it on!!!
