  • this is the best album he has EVER put out, in my opinion.

i like all his albums, but this is the ONLY one that has the soulful feel to it.

and this is one of my favorite songs from that album.

  • dam i miss biggie.he could just lace a track

  • This is a classic, man 96' a good year for music, this whole album was incredible and what emcee can lace an RnB track better than BIG

  • @MrRockets84 modern day its fabolous(biggie's friend)if u dont no hes a brooklyn legend

  • Niiice. This must be what inspired Faith Evans' "Used to Love Me"

  • I'd say it was answer to subliminals Kim was throwing.

After 14-15 years and watching the movie "Notorious" one thing I've noticed (sorry I am slow)

The reason this music is so good from Bad Boy back then is because it was from the heart. It had serious meaning to the artists. It wasn't just for a check. They were throwing shots at each other during the verses and songs. Faith and Kim at Biggie; Biggie back at them. On so many songs with Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly and their own songs.

  • I love this duet with big and rkelly this is a classic.

  • Say what you want about R. Kelly but he sure knows how to make good music many can relate!!

  • WICKED TUNE BLESSS!!! BraaaaaP!

  • The irony of course is that his jeep did get wetted in the end :(

  • This song is the hype! I love it!

  • Now this was a jam!

  • RIP BIGGIE

  • biggie the greatest!!!!!!

  • 2 people dont want t be happy

  • you was the reebok vandal now you wear chanel sandals...i made you.....y would i play u.....WOW

  • they dont make music like this anymore......and dats real!!!

  • Biggie had that untouchable flow!!!! This but sort of sound like Faith-You used to Love Me

  • This is so freakin classic.... 1995 is the golden era of hip hop & rNb. Somebody create a time machine please!

  • This is do freaki

  • bumping ass music

  • this should have been a single

  • @9577frasier It practically was if you were in the tri-city area. Hot 97 played this all the time.

  • i remember this on a old DJ-CLUE mixtape

  • you was a reebok vandle, now you wear channel sandle's . I MADE YOU WHY WOULD I PLAY YOU

  • i made you, so why would i play you? haha damnnn

  • biggie the best fuck west

  • @romeralo88 Lol...Your dumb ass still on that separation stupid shit!!! I know you never been out west!!! Still on that east vs west shit,..lol

  • HELLO

  • i looooooove it

    too bad there counldnt be

    an actual video with both

    Biggie and R.kelly

  • Hearing songs like this frustrates me. This is an amazing song, and yet, very much alike many of BIG's more quality music, it hasn't gotten the attention it needed.

  • Its the same beat.....I had read somewhere that Puff, B.I.G. & Kells was in the studio chillin & "You Used to Love Me" was playin. Kells wanted the beat for his album so him & BIG recorded this all in one day at the studio. "You Used to Love me" was still hot which is why this joint was never a released single

  • @rell27 I never noticed that...

  • Isn't this the same beat from Faith Evan's "I remember"? Someone tell me I'm not trippin! lol

  • yes it is

  • same beat,, its a dis song about faith

  • @Mr2Wright yea...but faith evans got th@ beat from this song

  • @Mr2Wright

yes it is. I always thought this was a response to Faith.

  • One of the best tracks from the 90's!!!!

  • @o0Pacha0o WORD

  • This is one of da best tracks the 90's have offered us......yeah!! "Tseda yale new!!"

  • Smoking blunts on the Veranda with Amanda, Talking that he said she said.....

  • this was my song, y'all! brings back memories...

  • subliminal tupac diss

  • @MrDanga

nothing subliminal about it. This is a total stab at pac. "spitting in faces and public places" thats what pac was know for back then. Im glad i experienced these legends when they were alive. I feel sorry for the new generation with this plastic gay shit they call hip hop and rap. Quality always seems to be getting worse with time.

  • @supersynchronicity1 Dude all Biggies disses were subliminal. . .thats how he rolled. He never mentions names and it's all down to interpretation. Trust me no one thought this was a pac diss when when it came out. Hell Pac was still in prison when this came out and he didnt really go at Biggie until he got out and signed to DR. It's only after they both got killed people started looking close at the lyrics and coming up with theories on possible subliminal disses.

  • Love this Song!!!!R.I.P. BIG

  • notorious big just came in and ripped it.....

  • I meant his solo sophomore album. Again if this was released as an single maybe they would be a few nice remixes featuring probably Ghostface Killah, Raekwon or Mobb Deep. A good video to accompany the lp and remix versions.

  • RIP BIGGIE. WE MISS YOU!

  • i give my life if it would only make u happy

  • baby u never i would do ever to hurt because i love u

  • luv this track so much yo, luv the 90z/early 00z r&b!

  • Anybody esle besides me,wish they had made a video 4 this video?

  • music is ruined because of woman.

  • @tnewls I REALLY FEEL YOU YOU RECONSIDER THAT STATEMENT

  • What the hell happened to Hip Hop and R'n'B ??? Where has it gone???

  • guns i buss um problems with the wife won't discuss them

  • I don't why this wasnt released as a single. In my opinion this should had been the debut single from R. Kelly's sophomore album not the lyrically challenged song You Remind Me Of Something.

  • i have no idea, it did get madd airplay back in '96 though

  • This is from his 3rd album titled R. Kelly. 12 Play was his sophomore release. Born into the 90's was his first and it featured Public Announcement.

  • biggie slays r-kelly in this

  • i looked everywhere on biggies disography and i dont see this song was it on his ready to die album?

  • Daamnnn!!! I miss biggie!!!

  • biqqie murderd dhiisz trackk.

"ii made you why would i play you?"

  • @urshawdy thats my fav line on this song

  • @urshawdy

That's my favorite line too! And also..."you was a reebok vandal....now you wear Chanel sandals"!

  • @urshawdy direct shot for lil kim as she was dissing him and throwing shots during songs

  • u used to be the reebok vandel, now u wear chanel sandels, i made u, why would i play you? think about it while the streets u roam, it's don p's and cristy's in the fridge when u get home.

  • the good old 90's!

  • man! so pissed I got this cd thieved from me.. I loved this song!

  • Poppa doin' this, poppa doin' that

But don't tell him i said it 'cause my jeep might get wetted

  • Who betta to do the rap than BIG??? Even on an R&B joint BIG still brings his best flow.

  • Yea... y'all right but my favorite verse on here is when Biggie said "I Made You ..Y Wouild I play you" LOL!!! He killed it...
