uhmm.. that lens.. that camera body.. you sir, do not know what you are doing, unless this was a complete test to see what a crop lens does on a full frame dslr..
@xTurnipTimex Well it's not like the word test is in the title and the description in all caps lol...all this criticism for someone doing experimenting with the equipment they own. Many Sigma DC (for crop cameras) lenses can mount onto 5D's and 1Ds. Zoom lenses just have to be careful about the rear element hitting the mirror, but they all mount fine.
@FlyinangeLproduction This lens was made "Specifically" for the Crop Sensor DSLRs, meaning the 550d, the new 600d, 90d etc. 5DmkII has a full frame sensor, the reason why you see that black ring around the video.
@thirsokewl For shits and giggles of course. I tried it with a friends 5dm2 just to see the DOF and how bad the vignetting is. Wouldn't put the kit lens on it though , it could damage the mirror. The back of the sigma is built like a FF lens so it looked safe :D.
The Sigma 30mm 1.4 is meant for crop sensors that have around 1.5x crop factor, so with full frame sensors you'll get vignetting when using that lens. You can crop the image afterwards to get rid of it, but the resolution will be reduced.
do you guys have any creativity? You can apply this "look" in a variety of ways to create a certain scene in your movie.

how is he a fool for trying something out? it’s not like he tried to force an EF-S lens onto the 5D, the sigma 30/1.4 is an EF mount.

I actually purposely put my crop lens on a full frame sometimes because it creates this effect, so don't always be hating

The vignetting is cute, to be honest. Or is it just coz it's a korean film?

Thats just dumb. I really hope you don't own this lens and you just happened to borrow it form someone.

@ElKuku9999 Or maybe he has the lens and a crop camera, upgraded and wanted to test it?

You dont deserve to own a 5DmkII for doing this!!

why would you put a non-full frame lens on a full frame camera
