Hummers rule in every terrain but they have no flex and you cannot hi-lift them well, so for rock crawling I prefer a lifted h3 (more flex and shorter wheel base). Never buy an h2, its the biggest piece of shit I have ever seen. Nice video though.

That Hummer drove 900 miles on pavement, 4 days of wheeling, and 900 miles back with two full sets of tires to do a comparison and magazine write-up of on-road and off-road performance for both sets of tires... that's why there is a full set of tires in the back.

I see a few things a jeep couldnt do unless it was highly modified and even then you mod the hummer just as much and still the hummer could do more stuff so yea no doubt jeeps are a great offroad vehicle but for an all around offroad vehicle no matter how much modding you do it wont compare to a hummer

Do you realize that jeeps have WAY shorter widths and wheelbases, which means that less ground clearance is needed to clear the same obstacle. The only reason hummers get anywhere is because they have lsd's. The only way to raise axle height is to get bigger tires. I didnt know that bigger tires were such a "high" modification. A decent jeep costs 10 grand. A hummer costs up to 200 grand. For that much money, you would think that it could fly and cook dinner too.

yea and no doubt jeeps can go through tighter trails... and yes bigger tires require a lift or they just wont fit which is a pretty big mod... as for cost I picked my H1 up for $50,000 CDN which isnt too much at all... as for same obsticle I disagree a hummer can be modded to have enough clearance to clear a really tough obsticle and still have nice low center of gravity where a jeep could get the clearance but will never get the center of gravity and in some cases that is what is needed...
