@gdsac You cant say that syd's career wasnt ruined by drugs or at least that it didn't contribute to its end. Syd was a schizophrenic and add a shit ton of acid to that and you will most likely have a psychologically damaged person. Although i do agree with you that their music was very much influenced by drugs especially their earlier work but most great rock artists from the 60's/70's were to some extent.
