Yes, Accelerate is good. It's nothing like Around the Sun or Reveal. It's probably their most rocking album. The songs are, for the most part, short, fast, fun, and really good. Check out "Living Well is the Best Revenge" on youtube. If you like that one, you'll probably enjoy Accelerate.
I like this song, Is Accelerate any good? I have most R.E.M. albums apart from this one, but I'm not sure if i want to buy the album because I bought reveal and around the sun and was very disappointed. I don't want to waste my money on another duff R.E.M. album.

This reminds me a lot of their earlier songs. REM is one of those bands which really are one of a kind and as time goes by I realize more and more how incredibly wonderful they are.

@reverendfleshhammer Yeah, it's one of the nicest places I've ever visited, used to pass through a lot on the way down to Clayton. Also have been listening to REM since they first began, and seems they only get better with time.

This reminds me a lot of their earlier songs. REM is one of those bands which really are one of a kind and as time goes by I realize more and more how incredibly wonderful they are.

Like most R.E.M. songs, there's no literal "meaning" here, but more of a feeling. And it seems that the feeling here is that life may seem scary or weird when you're a teenager, but you should enjoy that because all the mystery (the "supernatural") goes away when you become an adult.
