Cool - you got a 7060 for Christmas. You have been good! This light is rechargeable, so there should be no need to remove the battery. Just snap it into the charging base and wait till the indicator light turns green. Check the instructions, though- you may need to leave it on the base to condition the battery the first time. Kevin
Hi, I just received my 7060 today. I am really pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone!
I only have one problem, though. I can't seem to get the battery out, and I don't want to risk any damage by forcing it. Do you know how I can get it out? Thanks.
$117 shipped from bhphototovideo! Very happy and this light is great, but the 7060 is almost 3 years old now. What is the next best thing from Pelican?
@guyNbluejeans It might suprise you even more that the 7060 is considered "outdated tech" compared to some other flashlights/brands out there. I've got a bunch of reviews, including the 7060 on my site at light-reviews
The past year they gave one to me m6 LED which was broken very hard by a fall. I am of Argentina and I thought that Pelican would not cover the guarantee. But I sent an email and they sent new without excuses. Pelican thanks... robbed unfortunately it in my country in the mail. thanks "CORREO ARGENTINO"
Im using this light on a PD south of the U.S. border...its ultra bright and reaches out WAY out there...you dont have expensive light assemblies to replace...only improvement would be a lanyard attachement point..and it fits tight on the holder,2 or 3 times it would not turn on....until I resset it on the charger...dont know why.I also use a backup lithium powered compact light..it out last all others!!mine has been the only light left on after all others have died out.simply perfect!! awesome!!
that's awesome! the ONLY advantage of an old-school flashlight is that you can whack someone over the head with it with more... um... momentum :]
