the old school game boy screen provides a nice GREN screen, theey used a pixelate effect and then the gameboy as green screen ^^

the sound is from the gb chip (or something very close to it) but the video is just the video pixellated and placed on a frame of the gameboy.

look around the time when eirin reaches for the moon. there's a few colours there that the gameboy wouldn't be able to display.

Indeed the Game boy had a 160x144 LCD display with 2bit color. That means each pixel could only have 4 possible "shades".

Remember that this is a Reimu Boy instead ;)
