wow, such vicious talk about a messenger of the Lord. Ellen would be the first to tell you not to follow her, but to follow Jesus. She was humble, inspired and blessed with a special gift. Her story is amazing and true. There will always be doubters and maligners. God loves you anyway, and Ellen White would have loved you anyway also.

The problem is that Ellen White did not understand the bible. She garnered her understanding of the bible through proclaimed visions. Now while that would appear divine because she couldn't understand before, it poses a huge huge problem.

If she didn't understand the bible then how would she know whether or not her visions were accurate and not leading her down a false road? We're supposed to test men and even angels based on the word, not base the word on what visions say.

This means that she couldn't know whether or not she was being told the truth, and simply accepted what she was told as truth because it came to her in a vision. And because she came out with an understanding she claimed not to have before, those around her assumed it was heavenly.

Her teachings were based on visions, and not biblical truth because when compared to the bible you can see contradictions between what she says and what the bible teaches.

Wow unto those false ministers and prophetess of the SDA. I can see why they hate the doctrine of eternal punishment, and want annihilation. They know their own destiny. I would rather have lived a 1000 lifetimes as Lazarus the beggar in Luke 16, than be in their shoes. Ellen White was a prophet of God! She preached in accordance with the Bible, and helped God (even though He doesn't need help, but He wants us to help others) with the ministry of bringing more lost people to God!!! The only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ, so read your Bibles people, and continue to study hard and earnestly... Pray every time before you read your Bible and ask God for guidance and understanding, and you will receive it, if sincere!

Many people claim to see visions, and claim to see angels, etc, but we must be careful as to what we accept as coming from God because even satan himself can transform into an angel of light and deceive people into thinking its from God.

He's a master deceiver, so visions or manifestations in no way prove something is from God.
