Everyone I know here seems to recommend UPS as a great place to work, and the employees themselves also do so as well. I haven't yet ever noticed the same from a Fed Ex driver, in fact Fed Ex drivers are rude.

The have teams of bean counters figuring out ways to rip off their big customers like Sears. They have no products to sell or develop. They are a service only company, So they are always looking for ways to make moe money to fatten the wallets of the corporate execs! Beware of UPS ship elseware

I think Id rather work for UPS since I did hear UPS pays more then Fed Ex. Id sneak a lunch break during the day. Even if its just a simple stop at BK and grab a bite to eat and eat while driving.

You should really look into the percentage of people who are drivers to people who work the third shift. Its about 10%. I work preload, I can see why that number is so low. I've only came across one person who was a preloader so far.
how many trucks do you load on your shift?.. Im not a preloader, but im about to go for my training to be a driver (in Canada we have training, not sure what the US is like)... anyways, i would like to know how much shit you guys go through to get the trucks loaded so I can thank the loaders.

I was a preloader and you're right... I love the pics with the package walls falling down out of the trailer as they open the door. I've had many 80 pound irregs, tires, axels, buckets of bull semen, what have you, almost fall on my head many times.

man, i drive in atlanta. everything from a p1200 to the p500. some automatic but mostly manual. 1200 power steering, 1000 and lower none except for the 700...man, my job isn't hard, its actually fun. with the new cng slow ass motors...pass me a diesel and let me roll!!!
load quality is a ups term for how much shit you can fit in a truck. But he must not be an unloader because when you unload all you do is pull the walls down, im pretty sure thats what is going on right there but it could just be a load shift during transit.
that is stupid that they dont want to train to be a package car driver but yeah they want to train u for 40 days on how to pick up a package what a dum ass company it is good benefits but thatm is dum that dont want to train u to be a package car driver

toldeo ohio hub has everything inside, even a drive-in mechanic garage which could probably hold 8- 13 trucks i believe
