When I had my headgear I wore it in the daytime so I could show it off and I like to sleep on my side and when the HG became a bother I just took it off then put it back on in the morning.

My favorite sleeping is on my side but when I had headgear I would rather wear it in the day so I could show it off because I use to burn with envy when I saw someone else that had their headgear. Then I mostly wore it to bed but took it off in the middle of the night when it became a problem then back on in the morning.

geez that seems so archaic!! My ortho doesn't even use those anymore... they use the damon system. Hardly any pain, faster, smaller and better results. but I hope it works for you!

i had a form of headgear that i had to wear at night. It was strange but it had a chin pad and a forhead pad and the bar went down my face and then there was a strap that went around back and rubber bands attach to it and my braces

You are so lucky. Headgear is the sexyest part of the expireance and I had to study orthodontics to be able to explain to my orthodontist why I needed to have headgear. Secreatly I wore class 3 elastics to be able to wear the class 2 headgear longer. The first day I got my headgear I went strait to the mall to show it off. Also I was luckey enough to get an expander for a year so I talked like I was trapped with that RPE. That was a real sensasion when that girl locked it into my mouth.
