@sanderson1611 I know your against gospel tracts, but I was wondering out of curiosity, if you carried some for 'emergencies' or when you're short for time. If you don't like the ones' that are out there, you can make your own and get them printed. They can be useful to leave in bathrooms, ATM machines, dressing rooms etc. where you can't witness. If one person gets saved, it's worth it. Good preaching.
@sanderson1611 Greetings pastor. Question. If you die in a backlidden condition do you lose your salvation and end up in the lake of fire? Thank you for your time!
NewVinland. You are obviously unsaved. Actually Jesus came up with OSAS. John 11:26. John 17:12. You are trusting in your walk and not the finished work of the cross. John 17:4.
ETERNAL SALVATION : YOU TRULY AND WHOLLY BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST AND ARE SAVED, BUT YOU LIVE A WORLDY AND WICKED LIFE, THEN YOU DIE AND YOU GO STRAIGHT TO HEAVEN.
Can a true believer ever lose his / her salvation? If one believes then starts sinning like drinking, watching porn or even become an atheist does that mean they'll lose their salvation and go to hell?
NewVinland. Only a lost person would say that eternal security is nonsense in light of all the clear verses: John 3:15-16. John 10:25-28. John 11:25-26. Romans 8:38-39. Jude 1:24. 1 Thess 5:24. Ephesians 4:30, 1:13-14. Romans 8:1. John 17:2-4. John 3:36. John 3:18. John 5:24. Romans 5:10. Hebrews 9:12. John 6:37-40. John 6:47-52. 1 Corinthians 1:8-9. 1 John 5:9-13.
@jacksmack77 The passages posted regarding not walking after the flesh disprove your point. It is your ideology that someone CAN walk in the flesh and still be saved. Reading through Matthew, Mark, and Luke is also very helpful in seeing my point. Works are emphasized all throughout the three books in conjunction with salvation. Need I remind you that the man who came up with OSAS was Martin Luther and he admitted that it was while he was on the toilet?
This is what happens when you separate the Bible from the Holy Tradition of the church. Everybody takes it to mean what they want it to. Church is lessened to screaming and singing songs when historically a liturgy was present all of the way back. When you backslide, you are in danger of hell. The amount of twisting of scripture that is used is astounding in order to prove this eternal security nonsense. You say you can stop believing and still be saved. What about the mark of the beast then?
@NewVinland Baptist are a good example of what happens when they say anyone can pick up the Bible, read it and understand it without help. The history of the anabaptists has been a series of schisms and splits. They all say the bible is the authority....but each all are free to make it mean what they want it to mean. If they disagree they part telling each other that the other is a tool of the devil. The real authority becomes the subjective understanding of each Bible reader, not the Bible.
