  • I saw Tama on Must Love Cats the other night. Gotta say this is just too freaking cute!

  • Tama is a friend of mine, miss him so much since 3 years ago, will be coming back to see u within this year... Please say 'Hi' to your new staff...

  • I think the lady was trying to say "2 hours on another train, another 2 hours on a bus" or something like that. All total, it must have taken her 6 hours to get there. It was just summed up and shared as 6 hours on this program.

  • Oh great, it'sTHAT bitch. Fuck off Kyung Lah!!

  • Didn't the woman say 2じかん which translates to "two hours"? how come it's six hours? Maybe she said something before that...

  • forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't that woman say "2 hours" not 6?

  • @anogramatic I heard that too. Odd!

  • THAT'S HOW WE COULD HAVE AVERTED THE FINANCIAL CRISIS!!!

  • Aww Tama is a cute and great cat. God bless her

  • She looks almost like Yukke.

  • I hope they have a contingency plan for when Tama goes to the great train station in the sky.

  • Please remember the cats on Tashiro Island (aka Cat Island). Miraculously both cats and residents survived;however, they are in desperate need of cat food. Due to the debris in the water, helicopters are the only way to reach the island.

Urge the Japanese Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support to make the cats on Tashiro Island a priority and find a way to deliver food to the island.

Contact the Japanese Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support group on Facebook.

  • Can someone please find out if Tama survived the disaster in Japan? Wakayama Prefecture is at the southern extreme of the affected area.

  • @TheCatJoker : I actually wrote them an email! :)) This was their very quick reply :D

    Dear Sir or Madam:

This is in response to your e-mail of March 12. The Stationmaster Tama and we are safe and very fine. Do not worry in our area. I sincerely appreciate your warm consideration.

    Sincerely yours,

    Noriko Kurokawa

  • @NicoleTirona wow! thank you so much for the info! I worried about the cat too! Japan is definitely the coolest country in asia!

  • @tjbedista : You're most welcome :) Maru is safe too; his human updated his Fans :) But now we pray again as Japan faces another challenge - the eruption of Mount Shinmoedake in south-western Japan :(

  • @NicoleTirona

Good of you to do this but a quick look on a map would have shown that Wakayama region is far from March 12 danger. If any Japanese cat celebrity would have been at risk, its Zen Master Shiro (and brothers Chatora and the Chibi and humans).as he is in Iwate Prefecture. They are fine as they live far away from the coast in the highland area.

But lots of suffering people will be grieving their family neko-chan

  • @NicoleTirona Thank goodness Tama wasn't hurt in the earthquake.

  • @TheCatJoker According to a "TAMA" twitter account it is reported she is OKAY :)

  • hello reddit

  • his methods may be cruel, but at least he makes the trains run on time

  • @funwithphobias The mayor, or Tama, doesn't make the trains run on time!" -Lisa Simpson

  • CATS RULE!
