  • Wow the way Rock and Roll should be....super vocals and guitars and percussion!

  • Yeah they're from Michigan. I played in a bar band with Tom, aka Satch, years later. Nicest guy you'd ever meet.

  • I have this 45 ... !

  • This is one of the best covers so far.

  • damn good

  • is this pink floyd????

  • @americandiscocrash no its a u.s band...good cover..big hit in uk

  • @john111257 my mistake. i think they were an icelandic band. note the spelling of frijid. regardless, this clip cuts out the stranger part of the video, where the president of the record company presents a gold album to this fine icelandic band playing on a local detroit tv show. this is off a bootleg tape that has been floating around the great lakes for years. what really blows me away is how good their english is.

  • this is the buena rolota

  • I heard Frijid Pink on the radio with their version of House of the Rising Sun when it came out in the early 70's. The vocals were excellent; the guitars were rocking. These guys had some talent...to bad I didn't hear anything else from them. However...this song ROCKS! Funny thing...it got so little air time, most people never heard of it; even people with extensive music knowledge. Another rare song was "Look what they done to my song ma" by the New Seekers; most never even heard of it.

  • Haunting !!!!! Excellant ....

  • fuzzzzzz

  • i like this song, its real cool:) but apparently it has something to do with prostitution? according to one of my friends :L does anyone know if thats true?

  • @Numba1FanOfMusic15 Yes it is true. You can find on youtube the song is done by Texas Alexander 1928

  • hé bin johnny on t'entend plus la !

  • what an incredible version! Haven't heard them before, but I'm definitely sold

  • It's a shame the wikipedia entrance do not mention the Leadbelly version, which was actually the one that took this traditional into the rock era.

  • THIS.. is the most intense version of this song.. Magic. Oh that voice... wow.

  • les paul and a big muff great sound

  • PUES NÓ SÉ CUAL DE LOS 2 VIDEOS, ES ORIGINAL, PERO A MÍ ME GUSTA MÁS " FRIJIID PINK ". FROM MADRID. ( ESPAÑA ). HAPPY- HIIPIE - HAPPY.

  • That was awesome

  • wow i never heard this version of this song before it is really cool

  • ultimate song^^

  • I remember when this came out. Stayed on the charts for awhile, and then vanished into oblivion...until now. Thank you.

  • I've never heard this before but it sounds like it was influenced by Slade and Led Zeppelin. Maybe Alice Cooper too. They certainly could have been the back up band for any of those bands.

  • @mjmcnult I recently read that LedZep was actually an opening act for these guys back in the day when they were just leaving the Yardbirds.

  • @mjmcnult Yeah nah, if you read the description this band was formed in 1967, before any of those artists became popular. Led Zeppelin gained a lot of fame for performing this song after they opened for frijid pink.

  • @mjmcnult .. this was a few years before any of those bands you mentioned, bro!
