I have this game for ps3 and its pretty much the same as this expect a bit more polished and sharper graphics but still a great game no matter what system u play it on.

i know a way to get the tank without it shooting you in the first mission just get in the boat after you airstrike the bunker and just come up from behind the tank from the water you will hijack it before it first 1 shot at you

You guys should watch my mercenaries 2 (Ps2) videos if you have or like the Ps2 version they'll help you get rare stuff, like helicopters, and show you a variety of glitches.

dude they couldnt have ramped it up, i saw the dev blogs on their site and the guy who works with the ps2 version says "its really tight so you will pretty much have the same things as the other consoles, not as many vehicles or guns but it will be on the ps2"

Ps2 version sucks your supposed to get pistols but you don't your suppose to get like 150 cars but you only get a rtv and some faction cars you barley get any weps you barley get a map (map is smaller then mercs 1 map) if you buy this game i would say you just got ripped off. It's a good game but everything you expect is not here it's got a really short storyline i woulden't buy it if you have a ps2 you can't even burn down trees!!!

An update is going to be released sometime this month to add cheats to the next-gen consoles. Personally I can do with out them but alot of people really missed cheats so give the people what they want I guess.

i would say the higher price of the PS3 version is better. Its much easier to see where you're shooting in HD.

Can you give us your impression on the ps2 version? from what I've been hearing on various boards and the like is that it's very short...something like 15 missions. Is there the so called 150 different vehicles to drive in it? (some just being rehased Mercs 1 vehicles) but any new vehicles? and can you do the whole collect fuel thing and get all the other various collectables?. And finally is the world dead? meaning less populated and no conflicts between factions and the like?

the world is very much alive in mercs 2. i bought it for ps2 the day it came out. the map is just as populated as mercs 1 and even more constant conflicts and battles between factions, it's very rare to drive from one city and the next without seeing two different factions tear each other apart with bullets and grenades.

I got my ps2 vey late in the day, now i have hundreds of good games to try and finish bleach.

I dont know why, but my xbox 360 just seems like a lame duck, not enough quality titles, ps2 has hundreds and they are easy to get hold of and cheap to play.
