this is what you hear when you enter heaven, it's how you know you beat the best game ever. i beat the ds version 4 damned times and i still feel fulfilled every time. compete with that black ops, ya online bastard!
Is it weird that this song makes me feel all weird?? Kind of like... emptiness.. because I just beat chrono trigger again..and there's nothing to do anymore? :D
I can't believe no one came to look for this song... It makes me sad that people would rather look for Justin Bieber or something than this masterpiece...
@RetroHunter06 I guess it does, but video game music is a different genre in music. It IS real music, only more instrumental than normal. Just because this came from a game doesn't mean that it's all about the game. Besides, the word "nerd" doesn't relate to video games either. A "nerd" is somebody who knows a lot about a specific subject, not just games. But I guess my comment WOULD seem nerdy at first glance. Just think about it.
@RetroHunter06 then call me a nerd too. I dont act like one or smell like one, you would never guess if you met me, but Chrono Trigger shaped me into who I am as a person and gave me a profound sense of purpose. It instilled into a 5 year old me a drive to do anything and everything. :D
@MrFavorite01 yeah, it took me a while to find this song, because the site is only full of exciting songs like the last battle. music can be perpetual too, it can be sad, exciting, infuriate, make you cry, et cetera. a game today is just shoot kill and die. but people, look at this chuck norris of a game! it's about graphics, story, gameplay, and even something square forgot: DEVELOPING CHARACTERS!!! >.< in today's games, all people want is shooting and black guys yelling, "fuck." why? :'(
@ShamanTheHedgehog And it really makes you reminiscence to the simpler days. The days when games were for fun, not competition. When they were made to take you on an adventure, not put you back in reality. We used to play games to tell each other stories, not fight for some title of "best online player ever". And the development department IS lacking as well. Games are going into the melting pot of non-originality. They are fun at times, but lack the heart that the classics ever had. So sad. :(
@MrFavorite01 i still hum this while playing ANY game...even castle crashers... the song just fulfills its own destiny; everyone says, "why don't you play that much multiplayer black ops?" and i tell them, "because they're so competitive; do you even know the power of the 16-bit era?" and they always say, "wow, you're such a bitchy nerdy bitchy thingy, what's wrong with you? are you poor?!" stupid fads. games like ct show it's not about competition, it's about fun! i'm glad sonic team gets it.
@MrFavorite01 yeah, and mw3 AND mw2 can only be given the title, "SEQUEL to the BEST SELLING game of 20XX" which means it may suck but at least it's the sequel! >:B
yeah mw2 was a haven for hackers, and had several exploited glitches, AND had absolutely no support, AND had a "Meh" story, with throwaway characters that were easy to spot, but AT LEAST IT'S THE SEQUEL TO MW1!!! >.>
@ShamanTheHedgehog Exactly. It's nothing new. I just wish they could break out of their safety net of FPS. Make a dare and move on with the old repetitive stuff. I'll admit, glitches have always been fun for me, but obviously that's not the meat of the game. They should make games like they used to. -_-
the very end. this song is played during the PS credits. it also plays during the credits on the DS version. it can also be found in the unlocked music tracks when you;ve beaten the game a few times.
thanks for uploading this. i played chrono trigger when it first came out for the snes. I was captivated. I can't recall how many game plus's i went thru. Then i got it for the PSX on the first day it came out in the USA. They don't make games like this anymore.... I'm thrilled that i was young when this came out, and i was able to experience it at the height of gaming (snes -early ps2)
i bought this on snes in 2007, and i was only 15. Still didn't stop me from enjoying it to the fullest, and it forming the impression in my mind of being the best game ever!
