the music is like the same as lotus 3 lol anyway zool was just one of a kind loved it , Great Giana Sisters was it for the likes of mario loved the music ,gameplay and theme for sonic id say superfrog was more the speedy or sprongy type or titus the fox lol but yeah zool was ace too but the amiga wasnt a console it was a lot more so didnt have to prove anything really lol

I loved the Amiga, but to me Zool was one of the worst games for it. The scrolling jerked, the graphics were poorly drawn, it had crap music & still to this day i cant see why people say it was the Amiga's mascot!?. Lionheart, Superfrog, Arabian Nights, Yo Joe, Kid Chaos.. etc..

I agree!. It really didnt make any sense to me at the time that this was an example of the Amiga's power and everyone was looking at this game as a potential buyer of an Amiga system. They couldnt have picked bigger piece of shit. There were games 20 times better than this on the Amiga, both technically and gameplay wise.

You asked about why the music is the same as Lotus. That's very well spotted but not exactly correct. It's written by the same guy Pat Phelan... and back in those days you had to do a full game of music in a week... so little wonder the two might sound similar in some way.

I wrote the music for Zool2 - some of which is shown here, like the piece at the end.

The Jaguar version was a port done by another company. I can't remember if they used my actual tracks or if someone made a cover version of them. Be interested to know for sure actually.
