This was an experience of a lifetime - heartbreaking at the same time. It took the pare of lions about an hour to kill the baby buff.They were in no hurry. You will note that at the end of the video, that the baby is finally killed by having its bowels ripped out from the anus by the lioness. She did the work of bringing it down, dragging it over 200meters to the shade of a tree. Only then did the lion arrive at the dinner table.

Notice why they where licking the buffalo?? They do this to pluck the hairs of the skin exposing only skin. This way they can eat it with the hairs out of the way.
