With the exception of those speakers thats they way they are supposed to break up... I own a '64 Bandmaster with the matching '64 cabinet and the matching '64 speakers and the little guy sings with all its 40 watts.. right on brother..
With my '64, humbuckers and diming the volume is a glorious thing; however, good luck finding a club you can crank a Bandmaster to 10" in without getting a lot of grief or being fired. These things may be only 40 watts, but it's tube watts and believe me, it's LOUD!
There is something i just do not like about these older tube amps by themselves, unless you add a bit of reverb to give a bit of space, and colour, they are dry, brittle and ugly sounding.
hey, i think in the video, i see either a hotrod deluxe or deville. Does this sound better or worse than the clean channel on the deluxe/deville? oh and if i could get a all original one of these with 2x12 cab in like new condition for 800 bucks, should i buy it in your opinion? Thanks, Tyler
WTF . Are you masturbating with your guitar LMFAO

demoing a great amp through a crappy mic is just plain worthless information. -.-

never any shortage of pomps who are just dying to tell you what you're doing "wrong"
"you're playing too hard" "let your talent shine through"

It sounds like you're fighting against the tone, as if you're trying to beat up the guitar. Ease up a bit, let your talent shine through.

Nyogtha 3 years ago
so how long have you had this amp and why does it sound so distorted, are you playing through pedals or are the tubes blown??
KelseyHudgins121707 3 years ago
it's just the crappy camera mic.
bubbleshorwitz 3 years ago
@bubbleshorwitz Then what's the point of the demo? We want to hear the amp, not how much the camera mic distorts.
slpplexi1969 8 months ago
what is the volume set at? do these amps break up nicely? what fender combo would you compare it to?
PetaBeata89 3 years ago
Sounds kinda shitty to me, and I like Fender amps!!

I got one of this amp´s too. But there is no distortion like this guy has.
Should the amp sound like this, or has he some kind of pedal?
Either way I did'nt like this sound.
Insomniackc 3 years ago
this saturation must be from the camera mic

Just natural distortion, or a pedal?
MadShadowBand 4 years ago
bandmasters don't really distort, the power transformers are rated to high for the wattage of the amp.
clash0city0rock 4 years ago
i think its the tubes breaking up cause when tubes break up, they tend to distort
