Why are there all of a sudden a high rising number of Autistic people and children? If you ask me there are a high number of mis-diagnoses. Same thing with ADD, oops, Im rude so i have ADD hey wheres my Ritalin?
There are growing children - teens - young adults with high functioning autism who are very intelligent, but have trouble with appropriate social interaction skills. No matter how hard they try, they can still be prone to unthinkable mistakes such as saying something uncalled for, despite little understanding on what's ok and what's not and when. They have little understanding of the sketchy parts of the conversation topic and have trouble knowing opposing point of views from other people.
Lead panit was ever present until 1976. Abestos was in every known insulation in the world. gas toxins were exposed to familys coal burning for heat was mass co2 exposure. All of which are toxic. Why is autisum only a real issue untill the late 80s? who knows but our kids have always been exposed to toxic chemicals. But not untill the late 80s were the toxins injected under the skin evading all our immune systems safeguards.
I'd have said something similar when I was younger. But I've learnt social skills the hard way.
Sometimes I still slip up. I got into a row with a foster parent because she kept putting off taking me to the bank (she lived in the forest) and I was getting quite upset.
She said something along the lines of 'Do actually you think I'm going to do it?'
I abruptly, honestly answered 'No'.
She was yelling at me for ages after for being 'rude'. Looking back I figure it was a rhetorical question.
that was funny and she was the one being weird all overreacting emotionally, well that's not that weird but doing it in a public place is, well idk whatever
yup this is my boyfriend! lol he has aspergers. Hes said plenty of things that get me mad, but i understand he doesnt mean it to be rude. hes getting better though with explaining himself better
To clarify about this advertisement, the guy was thinking out loud. Some people with autism may have some problem interpreting their thoughts unless they sharpen that particular skill.
I may sound like a good charmer but I would say that I am sure that guy was blind enough to not notice her eagerness to like him.
I started laughing...that would have cheered me up...don't know why everyone had to take it so literally in that room. I would have laughed, my friends would have laughed, and we all would have been good friends...
Autism is a whole other world that I want to learn..
Too bad, my childhood school district did not understand autism as I was the only aspie in my township. School was incredibly difficult, on top of that, I had to take antidepressants. BIG MISTAKE.
Been there, Asperger's and autism are actually postive. I have asperger's and I've said somethings that I should have thought about the feedback later. But yeah, there are a lot of ignorant people who call me retarded for blacking out, trying to get my words right. But it's hard to see that I have Asperger's as I've been treated since I was 3.
I completely agree, I always pause for words, waiting to try to say precisely what I mean - people think it's being slow, but it's actually just wanting to be far more precise about what I say.
never thought english people/aussies could be funny. i laughed
