Great Video... what engines are you using and how did you mount them? They are protruding from the typical inside position of the easystar. (pardon novice questions :)
Not a problem, I use the BP2212-06 motors with a 30amp ESC. The are a outrunner motor so you wouldn't be able to mount them inside the normal housing. Check out the FPV Easystar Up close and personal video and I show the mounting job that I did. Thanks for watching!
@x7cj87 hey i just made my su -30 out of cardboard but it just swings around and another problem is that it keeps falling nose down . it is not nose heavy because its is very stable in the air except of its swinging around in the air please help me with this problem
@baeronautics by your description i would guess that its maybe that the vertical stabilizers could be too small... I have not had very good luck using cardboard either. Would suggest foam board instead of cardboard. If you can make a video of it flying so I can see what its doing and I'll try to help.
lotta power on the plane-- -aileron steering? be careful of adverse yaw at slow speeds with ailerons- they act opposite of high speed action -- tho i believe its better to have ailerons than rudders- that plane didnt come with steerable rudders? thats rare -is the elevator one or two pieces?
Yes it has tons of power! The ailerons definetely help at all speeds so far. I have multiple throw settings set for fast and slow speeds. This plane came stock with rudders I added the ailerons. And the elevator is one piece. I started with 2 Easystars and modded the middle wings to make it a twin EZ.
Great idea!.. So far i've only ever had to shift the battery around to get the CoG right, but when I eventually get some FPV kit I'll have a go at this.
I can't wait to see some FPV of that thing flying.. assuming it will be up soon.. I'm guessing it's pretty cold near you right now!
Yes, normally I can use the battery to get my CG right but this one was tricky! With the dual fuselage and an uneven amount of items going in it it was a battle to even everything out. The fishing weights were the ticket considering the price.
We are in a blizzard right now but as soon as I can get it out, i'm gonna do it!
