This will cause input lag but when you want to record and play, just switch to component mode while the DVD recording screen displays the exact same picture that's on component (xbox footage). So press record while in component and then press stop and then switch back to AV mode and finalize the disc.

What if we can record but our dvd of the gameplay wont play or even be recognised in our computer, it thinks the dvd is a blank disc, its a DVD-R. Do i need a different kind of DVD? its weird cause the DVD says DVD-R and it says RW in a box seperate area of the actuall Disk...HELP!

I just plug the red/yellow/white wires from my 360 ariel into the DVD player and then use a seperate scart lead to go to the TV, you get a black line at the bottom of the video but you can remove that with a decent movie editor!

Your dvd recorder should have an input, and your PS3 should have the A/V cables to plug it into the tv (lol) so instead of plugging that into the tv, plug the ps3 directly into the dvd recorder, and plug the dvd recorder into the tv and you should be set.

Put the footage in Movie Maker and publish the movie. In the 2nd step go to more setting and click Windows Media HD 1080p. 1080 is relly the highest HD without a major lag in it.

if the tv has an output then yes it's right. If you are just plugging the cables in randomly then you'll probably not do it right. In the vid my 360 goes to my dvd recorder, then the dvd recorder goes to the tv.
