Do you need a tuner to do this? I saw a magnavox dvd recorder but says it doesn't include a tuner which is needed to record live tv... but I wanna record videogames so...?
This will cause input lag but when you want to record and play, just switch to component mode while the DVD recording screen displays the exact same picture that's on component (xbox footage). So press record while in component and then press stop and then switch back to AV mode and finalize the disc.
What if we can record but our dvd of the gameplay wont play or even be recognised in our computer, it thinks the dvd is a blank disc, its a DVD-R. Do i need a different kind of DVD? its weird cause the DVD says DVD-R and it says RW in a box seperate area of the actuall Disk...HELP!
Do I need anything else then a input to actually record the gameplay??. ((I play on HDMI-channel but I can connect the colors to the imput of the recorder???))
is it basically inputting the 360 to the dvd recorder, and then outputting the dvd recorder into the tv? if i input the 360 cords to splitters and i take the other ends of the splitters and plug them into both the tv and dvd recorder would that work? because i dont have double ended av cords, but i do have splitters that dont need a cable.. if this doesnt make sense, msg me, cuz i need help.
dammit! dvd recorder is on the screen, PS2 is connected input to the dvd but there ain't no picture on the screen! they are connected to the same channel av2. i hear the voices of PS2 game but NO PICTURE! just dvd and ps2 voices.
to make sure your recordin g you need to watch your console by dvd channel and the put record (red button). or maybe you dot have any dvd recorder just dvd player like me
I just plug the red/yellow/white wires from my 360 ariel into the DVD player and then use a seperate scart lead to go to the TV, you get a black line at the bottom of the video but you can remove that with a decent movie editor!
It might be the Video cable but I really don't know, I haven't run into that problem and that seems like the only logical answer to that problem unless it's your tv.
hey, i just bought a sony DVD recorder. i just recorded a halo 3 clip and finalized the disc just to see if it works. i put the disc in my comp and nothing happened.... i cant see any of the files... am i doing something wrong?
PS# is a waste of money, lol my dumb mom got it for the family and I'm like get a 360, you save 200 bucks and its just better, but noooooooo what did she do, get a freakin ps3 :( lol
I need help! When I put my footage on windows movie maker to edit the picture (display of the footage) looks stretched and short. How do I fix that? Is it something to do with my DVD recorder display settings or what? HELP!
hey man please help!! i joust bought an LG recorder for 100 bucks, and i have an LCD TV, my question is - can i record via component cables ( red, green, blue ) or do i need to but the double ended A/V cable?
I'd go with the double ended A/V cables because recording in HD isn't possible on a dvd recorder. Maybe ask at best buy because I don't know the specifics.
Your dvd recorder should have an input, and your PS3 should have the A/V cables to plug it into the tv (lol) so instead of plugging that into the tv, plug the ps3 directly into the dvd recorder, and plug the dvd recorder into the tv and you should be set.
I have done the steps required and can record gameplay but I get button lag of 1sec + When playing CoD:4 its almost impossible to do anything. Is this the same for everyone or have I done something wrong?
Put the footage in Movie Maker and publish the movie. In the 2nd step go to more setting and click Windows Media HD 1080p. 1080 is relly the highest HD without a major lag in it.
i dont get this man can u help me i got the red wire and white wire and the yellow wire blugged to the tv and the other end to the ps3 and i got the dvd recorder blugged in the back of the dvd recorder and the other end to the tv is this correct please reply :D
if the tv has an output then yes it's right. If you are just plugging the cables in randomly then you'll probably not do it right. In the vid my 360 goes to my dvd recorder, then the dvd recorder goes to the tv.
basically you plug the two sided av cables to one end. (the input of the dvd recorder) and the other side into the output in the tv. press record with a disk inside. right?
is a dvd recorder a special device or a function dvd players can do

Your dvd recorder should have an input, and your PS3 should have the A/V cables to plug it into the tv (lol) so instead of plugging that into the tv, plug the ps3 directly into the dvd recorder, and plug the dvd recorder into the tv and you should be set.
xLilBabyJezus 2 years ago
My ps3 doesn't have the cables plugged into the tv, it has the hdmi cable into an hdmi switcher, and the power plugged into the wall.
I tried the a/v cables for the ps2 last night, and they fit, but I got no video.
