  • Tone heaven.

  • Whoa nice use if the whammy at the beginning :)

  • Beautiful stuff. A clean tone to die for and overall just a fantastic sound. Cool video.

  • Which Alnico speaker are you running? Sounds Great.....

  • Smokin ass demo!

  • nice amp. I have the same myself a weber 6m45.

What kind of power valves are you using?

  • Such an amazing amp! I love the music man This is great!

  • Hey man is it possible I can buy this amp in stores??? don't think so uh??

  • I have be watching all of the tube amp reviews on youtube and this is simply the BEST tone I ever heard.

  • I thought that was a weber kit as soon as I saw the bigass speaker ohm switch... I built a plexi1987 kit from them, added a lar-mar MV a switchable RR mod and am gona put a tube rectifier in it to make it at least a little more jtm-like, gona try to put it in an avatar 212 vertical that'll need relocated speakers. theyre good amps I'd do it again it was a fun build

  • Nice job man!!! I wonder if I could take my 50 watt Marshall 1987x (plexi small head re-issue) and buy the Weber BluesBreaker combo cab...and install it, to make a 50 watt Bluesbreaker?? I guess it would fit right? After years of hauling extention cabs around....a combo is looking good to me. Any advice? NICE build and playing !! Thanks in advance.

  • 1:18 where can i buy one of those claptopn boosters XD

  • wiring is sloppy

  • @bloodthirstysavage

haha, who cares with that sound!

  • what tubes are in that amp? please ansver

  • sick brother, i like it much

  • A little tuning problem in the first part ? But it sounds so good... I see you only use first class components.

  • hey is that "castles made of sand" you were playing? great tone and volume friend I would like to have this amp it's a dream come true I love vintage

  • Lovely tone

  • great sound but no nice wiring ;-)

  • Wow, REALLY empressed by the sound, and nice twist on castles made of sand :)

  • Wow you convinced me.. I have a loop station and i use it through a Peavey (i know :D) and really he can't handle an overdubbing.. This amp can really handle it, your second song really shows how it can handle bass line + sCREAMy solo line (if it goes low, it really not disturbing the other line). I hope you understand me a bit..

I'm sure like you say it loves pedals

  • bass sounds flabby and muddy. otherwise cool.

  • @a0nmusic Yeah it does sound kind of flabby but hear that's mostly the compression from YT itself-it probably sounds way better live than on this video.

  • trop vintage !!! super son

  • I am loving this sound.

  • bugera is building a close clone to this in there v55

  • Sounds superb. My next amp .....

  • what kind of amp is it? where did you get it?

  • sounds good!

  • Must here a Les Paul through it for a true benchmanrk!

  • fuckin choice amp right thur

  • sounds brittle like a new Bassman reissue amp

  • that is because the jtm45 circuit was based on a bassman

  • that is true, the Bassman was the amp that got Marshall building his own amps but the NEW Bassman sounds brittle like this clone amp. The vintage Bassman and the vintage Marshall Model 1962 amp do not have that "new Jensen reissue speaker" type of brittleness. That was my point. It still sounds pretty nice, just a tad crispy to me. I have a vintage 59 Bassman and I also have new LTD tweed Bassman as well. The vintage amp sounds sweeter to me.

  • you've got yourself a hell of an amp:D if only i had the money to buy real vintage stuff

  • @1952Telecaster does the 'new LTD tweed Bassman' sound fairly close to the 'vintage 59 Bassman'?

  • yes, the reissue Bassman is a great sounding amp but there is a difference. I have both new and old. The old one is far smoother sounding when cranked up than the new Bassman tweed LTD amp with it's Italian Jensen speakers and circuit board. I should try hooking up 4 Weber speakers and maybe some NOS tubes to see if I can get it to be smoother sounding than it is currently. I do have top of the line Groove Tubes in it now but it's still harsher sounding when I A/B the two amps.

  • @1952Telecaster Why is Bassman related to this amp? sorry for dumb question

  • @RockyEpiphone Because (as stated above) , Jim Marshall copied the best sounding amp available at the time, the Fender Bassman. The main difference in sound between a vintage Marshall and a real 59 Bassman is the speakers and the cabinet. Fender is open back with 4 x 10" alnico Jensens and Marshall had 4 x 12" speakers in a closed back cab. Jim Marshall even used the same tubes as a Fender in his first builds the JTM45 Bassman was 45 watts too

  • @RockyEpiphone Buy the History of Marshal book. An excellent source for all Marshal info.

  • makes sense

  • gorgeous in every single way

  • That lead dress needs some help....that's not just a cosmetic issue either....it really will help your amp to sound better (less hum etc.) if you get the wires neatened up.

  • Great playing..................

  • how much would one of these go for, cause this is the literal exact tone im lookin for

  • If you are lucky you can find a used for 500-600$ (Or cheaper, with not such a good quality) and new about 1200-1300$ i guess

  • is that a london power soak`?

  • cool sound makes me want to buy it now.

oh by the way in some part at the begining weren't you playing a little bit of "castles made of sand" from hendrix 'cause I think it was

  • the JTM 45 is the best marshall ever made

  • @BCadman You got that right, but the Superbass is about equal

  • @BCadman Yep, because it's basically a fender bassman design with british speakers.

  • Amazing playing!

    Nice amp.

  • Thats what we in the trade call a rats nest...clean up that wiring son, it will reduce all that hum and noise you got going on and will improve your tone.

  • I think most people fail to realise the sound that everyone wants from a Marshall also involves the speakers distorting - I have had many 50w combos and heads, and if you don't use celestions, the sound just doesn't break up - frankly I LOVE the sound of a 50w at full tilt - with a decent Gibson - no need for pedals, they just...take off!

  • amen to that

  • the amp have almost tone heaven like you say because you have yellow capacitors and metal film resistors, this is the key to get a maximum of sound signal.

  • that what you wrote say one thing - your knowledge and education about electronics is really poor

  • because i know what kind of material is the best to allow a maximum of signal i have poor knowledge in electronic?

do the same amp with carbon resistors and cheap capacitors. some amps can give incredible sound but this dont mean a good tone. anyway all that with the best alnico speaker and matched quality transformer it help a lot.

  • I've been tweaking my JTM45 for 3 years now. I can tell you have very little knowledge about electronics. Some of the cheaper transformers can sound better the the ones made by mercury magnetics. Its all marketing and what really counts is what your ears like. I find that carbon comp resistors really don't do much but add noise except the NFB circuit and nothing beats the original mustard caps. Alnico speakers are great for clean/chimmy, round/creamy but lack the crunch of ceramic speakers

  • That sound is perfect. What amp kit and where can I get one?

  • many thanks to you and other people,

amp cames exentially from a Weber kit with some upgrades, you can also listen this amp in my other video (hear my train coming Jimi Hendrix cover)

  • I'm loving this tone. I was wondering, what kind of speaker is that? Scumnico?????

  • alnico speaker maybe a celestion or weber, look like a silver bell.

  • With an amp like that, i know my neighbours and wife only want to hear me play.

Your Blues sounds great!!! , i hear a lot of Robert Johnson and Catfish in it (a mix of Delta and Louisiana), I wish i could play with you amigo!!

  • that sounds like perfect tone to me! how does this compare to the new marshall re-issues?

  • Wow. I'm impressed.

  • Awesome. great amp, great playing.
