@jessie101ist Thanks Jessie, it is a great inspiration to know about people like Irena. These days they become fewer and fewer to find. I was so glad to find her story and research her life, and also the Holocaust in general. It was a horrible time for humanity, but not the only. I hope this music will help in reminding people that we need to be more humane to each other, and begin to preserve life, instead of taking it away.

Yes, she is now "Sleeping with the Angels". She is an inspiration to us all! There were many Polish people that helped during the war then, and we should also honor them as well.

I'm Polish and I know very well the story of Irena Sendler and what she have done for Jews during the WW II. I don't want to sound pompously but I'm proud that Poland had people like this woman who have resisted orders of the Nazis and decided to save SO MANY children. My family also helped few Jews and when I'm thinking about this today I know it was direct danger to life.

This video and the music we are writing is dedicated to Irena, as well as the unsung heros like your family, and for the victims of the holocaust. Irena and your family stood up for what is right, even at the threat of death that makes real humanitarians. During my research I have learned an incredible amount while gathering photos and reading stories to write this music and make the video.

There were many who helped the jews, yet so few that are known.

Yes, I agree! It's incredible that real heros are a thing of that past it seems these days. Irena should have absolutely won, and it bothered me enough to honor her in another way, and that is this music. There is still 6 more pieces that will accompany this one. This piece represents her accent into heaven, and greeted by the parents of the children and the angels. She is now at peace I am sure. Such an inspiration she gave me, I only hope she is listening as well.

Thank you So much for your support! The music was very hard to compose emotionally, I cried alot as well. It is very emotionally involved. The amazing story behind this music is that it was inspired by her story I heard a year ago after I learned of her death. I am a musician, but I can't read music. My wife is a classical pianist who was able to write down this song in particular as I had to sing to her the notes, and then conduct. There is much more to this music, about 5-6 more pieces.

While watching that slide-show we suffer seeing those fascizm victims, and the music opens Irena's great soul,her colossal wish to save those children, and we are impressed with her great deed! Thank you OA, we can all honor her by promoting her message. I am hoping this music will become something, and that will be able to reflect the life of Irena, and the victims of the holocaust in general in their memory. What an incredibly horrible time in history. I cried each time working on this music, and doing more research on all that happened. The rest of the symphony is very intense as well with many emotions that reflect the pain of the jewish people in the ghetto.
