one of the most impressive thing about his playing is that each version (live or album) are perfect to listen to for different moods. when im in a happy mood i listen to the live version and get absolutely blown away. but when im in a relax and sit and listen to music and draw or something, this version is perfect for it. at least thats how it is for me.

I have this album and every time I listen to it, just like the sounds of a spring I hear in the background on Under an Indian Sky, I hear something that sounds like birds chirping at 8:26. Does anyone have any insight as to what it could be?

this version sounds like he has no capo on his guitar when he does on later versions, jw if this is another thing hes changed over the years? Also sounds kinda indian sitar style at some bits unlike now...still awesome :)

@seanemm1195 It's indeed true, he's playing in D-major instead of E-major in this one. The part that we recognize today doesn't really kick in until about 7:00 or so into the song...but it's a beautiful example of how malleable and organic music can be. The song has completely evolved over the years, and it's awesome. I do absolutely love how he ends this version with one harmonic and then lets it fade off into silence...so beautiful.
