A PhD makes you a Doctor, not a Proffessor. A Proffessor is a title that's given to you by a university, a bit like "manager" in a company. It stays with you though, if you leave.

@lewis72 I am aware of that. American universities use the term even more loosely to mean any tutor. But I used professor without a capital P so it means a teacher and not an appointed university or college. Wikipedia has "Literally, professor derives from Latin as a "person who professes" being usually an expert in arts or sciences"

Baddiel seems to get slated on here, I think they are both funny as fuck but Baddiel has entertained me greatly over the years, ive nothing against him at all - far funnier than Frank Skinner who I also find very amusing.

What I like about Harry Thompson's comments is that he is basically saying that throughout David Baddiel's career he has relied on his comedy partners to supply the gags, just stating, as we all know that Baddiel was'nt and is'nt actually that funny.

@burnt62 Robert is still out there. Have you seen "The History of the World Backwards" and "The History of Oil" ? As fantastically good as you'd expect.

They were an amazing double act, in a way it's good that it ended so soon so it never got the chance to lose it's shine. We can look back on it forever with fondness and a longing for that special 20th anniversary reunion or w/e.
