  • Im a sophmore now and i went to Holy Trinity! So proud of the 3rd grade team!

  • was that Adam Sandler yelling "NO WAY!"?

  • I don't see why they wouldn't allow 3 pointers? That's pretty stupid. What are they trying to discourage kids from shooting outside the arc? Once again, stupid. I'm sure at this age players like JJ Redick were shooting 3's in games.

  • i did that once... 346 tries later

  • amazing!

  • if this would be in slowmotion, it would look just like in the movies! great job!

  • no waaayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!

  • longest 2 pointers eveeer!!!!!!

  • longest 2 pointer ever

  • Keep pressing 4

    NO WAY!

  • 0:43 your own replay button

  • the guy filming when the shot goes in sounds exactly like jeff garlin

  • legend!

  • Where's the travel call, ref??

  • Press 4 for lolz

  • quarterback someone?

  • slow motion sounds drunk: "WHOHOOOO" XD

  • fantastic i can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • is that lebron james?

  • love the man at the back who raised his hands cause he thought he won. but didnt.

  • in my day that wasnt a buzzer beater it was called traveling

  • not a travel... crab dribble!!

  • you guys are missgin the point, even thought he travel they are only in 3rd grade and it's not about being strip with the rules but instead teach them team work ect.. its a amazing shot travel or not.

  • No way you call the travel. 3rd grade. If you called every travel and double dribble the game would take 2-3 hours. After the shot went off, no actually thought it would actually go in.

  • Keep pressing 9 and enjoy the sweet sound of an owl.

  • @Chapter81

    LMAO thumbs up

  • he must pray alot at his school cuz god was on his side with that shot!

  • Nice 2 pointer.

  • Hey I go to holy trinity and im in the 5th grade- girl

  • Watch the ref at the far end of the court at 1:36

  • 41 people were either on the losing team or family members.

  • LeBron traveled

  • No way

  • great clock management awarness by the kid also & the kid for the other team who hustled for the loose ball & then threw a pass to his teamate so he couldnt get tied up for a jump ball did good also

  • No way? YES WAY!

  • this game was clearly officiated by Big East refs :D

  • I love the slow mo NO WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  • Forget about traveling.. That's one badass shot... No one calls travel for this kind of shots in NBA either :D

  • Who are those 39 nutts that didn't like this video?

  • that kid is racking up air miles with that kind of travel

  • 1:39 an owl?

  • wow, that must hurt...hahaha a good lesson for both sides.

  • My favorite part of this is the slow mo "woooo hoooo" after 1:39

  • i love number 20 when hes running at the beginning

  • Nice job kid! He was like Kurt Russell in Escape from LA (he made a similar shot)

  • fabulous

  • Omg everytime people do that they miss but that waz a nice shot

  • this boy is a f.. hero for the rest of his life

  • For a 3rd grader, I think I can look past the traveling. He still made the heave.

  • Awesome!

  • TRAVEL!!!!!!! haha nice shot kid

  • NUMBER 20 is a LOLLYGAGER

  • should have been called a travel, but well done throwing it that far in the first place.

  • OMG

  • watch the referee when the kid scores XD

  • Like the video guy @ 0:46 : NOOOO WAAAAAAAY!

  • He makes steps like the USA pros. He is prepared to be an Olympic champ.

  • Outstanding.

  • Filthy no call on the travel, but amazing lob none the less. As a ref im not gunna call that travel.

  • Loved the way the celebrate by jumping around!

  • he must have Travelers Insurance

  • regardless of the travel that is one awesome shot!

  • someone grab a mop, there's gonna be tears

  • Nice job of the officials NOT calling traveling. They are 3rd graders! Common sense must be applied with how much they can control their bodies. Bravo to the officials.

  • Wow, people care that a third-grader travelled? Get a life.

  • Fabulous work..and he did take a second to line it up as best as he could..winner!!

  • That waz sick but he traveled

  • You're gonna go places kid!

  • Complete and total awesomeness.

  • Co Za Asy for sure.

  • Crazy shot kid!

  • yes he travelled, but more importantly, the team/school's seriously called Holy Trinity? wowww!

  • CO ZA ASY!!!!!

  • look like he travel

  • id wreck this kid on d ....just kidding thats something someone will post tho.....

  • he through it like an outfielder.. he crow hopped.. thats def a travel..

  • If you've ever watched youth bball nobody calls travels b/c they happen ALLLLLLLL game long.

  • Is that the building you can see while traveling north on I-5, on the righthand side of road? Would be quite random if it was.

  • ok we get it he traveled! everyone doesnt have to say it

  • some say that kid is still travelling

  • i like the slow motion woooohoooo. and the emphatic "count the bucket" by the ref.

  • I was totally going to comment travel and be like ohh yes sweet comment but then i realized everyone said the same thing..

  • I don't think I could even shoot a free throw when I was in grade 3...

  • Anyone who's watched, coached, or reffed at this age level knows that if you call every travel or double dribble neither team would ever score...or get a shot up for that matter.

  • traveled 3 times. FAIL

  • Sportsnation FTW

  • later they tested him for steroids, he tested positive. They're debating on whether to remove this, along with all other great achievements he's done in his career.

  • lol. killer shot. kid totally traveled....i don't know that kiddie basketball refs go through much training though. heck, i hardly trust nba refs to make the right call.

either way, can't take the sweet shot from the kid.

  • i agree with the others, it was obviously a travel, but theyre 3rd graders. let the kid enjoy it. then again, if you cant learn to follow the rules at that age...

  • You guys are retarded...yes its a travel buts its called 3RD GRADE BASKETBALL

  • he walked lol.. no good

  • Dude traveled so hard. How do they not call that?

  • HE CHEATED!

  • he traveled...TWICE...you can not slide on the floor like he did. Also to heave the ball that far he took a little crow hop and...yup thats traveling as well. LEARN THE RULES KID...JESUS! ps...nice arm.

  • i guess in 3rd grade you can get a ball, slide with it, then take 3 steps without ever dribbling

  • The kids in 3rd grade. Just made the shot of his life. And everyones giving him crap about traveling.

  • *spins fists in a circle* Travel! Red Team, number 14. White Ball!

  • I'm pretty sure they don't call traveling in 3rd grade.

  • Traveled like a champion

  • Everyone just give the boy some credit - great shot!

  • Crazy shot. But I think it's so stupid it didn't count as three.

  • He traveled.

They had to give it to him though, obviously.

  • They don't call travel at younger ages so the basket is good.

  • Agreed, he totally traveled. But no one is going to call that in that situation especially since he wasn't supposed to make it.

  • Good lord everyone who says he traveled have you ever watched the NBA?! They do so much worse than that

  • Who cares if he traveled. It was sick

  • If that was a travel, look at Dwayne Wade's full court pass to LeBron James... Those are "Professional Refs' too

  • he traveled so hard

  • it wouldve been hilarious if the ref called the travel and the shot didnt count

  • Travel!!!!!!! Plus I think he stepped out of bounds.

  • This video brought to you by TRAVELocity

  • Travel. no basket.

  • No 3 pointers at that age level? Did it end in a tie? Scoreboard said 30-30

  • @mridge01

That final shot tied the game at the end of regulation. It went into overtime where that team who shot that great basket eventually won.

  • @denniefrank what he was asking is if there are no three pointers. Because they where down by 2 and that last shot was obviously a 3?

  • @N1CisSIC All shots at this age level count for 2 points.

  • @denniefrank why is the 3 point line painted then? :P

does it have any use at all?

  • @ycz04x02 I have an older son in 8th grade and they count 3 point shots at that level. I cannot remember at what age group they start doing that at..... maybe 5th or possibly 6th.

  • The look on the others team faces were PRICELESS.

  • Don't knock the unwritten 5 step rule. Or the 2 step slide, 3 step rule. And actually I believe that the illegal formation defense at the time offset the offense's traveling violation.

  • I don't think he travelled. Looks like a great play to me :)

  • 3 steps, no good.

  • A violation of the rules is a violation of the rules if it occurs in the first minute or the last minute.

To let it go just because of the game situation is not just.

  • It's CYO in Portland. Odd seeing your grade school gym in youtube.

  • Traveling.

  • TRAVEL.

  • thats called the slip n slide 3 step shuffle

  • taveling and it's not a game winner....yawn.

  • The most fascinating part of this video is the parents' reaction. I've watched it a dozen times maybe and I can't decide if some of them are complaining

  • this vid is now all over the net, might as well list it... nice shot, kid. :)

  • what town is this in?

  • @tippingpossum

    Portland, OR.

  • Steps.

  • no way

  • "Get him a bus, he's traveling!"

  • lol the dads reaction is priceless. NOOO WAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • New title: Fast track to becoming an NBA ref

  • crab dribble!!!

  • He traveled, but I wouldn't have called it if I was the ref.

  • @SecondCityChamp well then you would make a terrible ref. how do you think the other team feels about it not being called?

  • this kid is a boss, even though he did travel.

  • this is basketball. no crowhops allowed

  • I don't think they call traveling at that age. So what happened in OT?

  • I wish I could have been there to cal the traveling and watch that kid cry.

  • the kid blatantly traveled twice on the play... once when he slid across the floor, and then when he took 2 steps forward prior to the shot...but whatever

  • travel. he slid and took another step haha

  • Steps called.

  • Jeez adthies! One ref on the floor and he's way on the other side of the court.

Pound on the ref for not seeing it from that far away. No call...no travel.

Maybe these parochial schools should institute instant replay? After all, these kids are making millions on the backs of the fans!!!!

  • Best shot and I don't see a travel. Haters here.

  • @Sucat25 Do you know what a plant foot is? He takes a step and jumps with both feet before he throws the ball. Never. Dribbled. Once.

  • @Rossco000 Looks legit to me.

  • i love how they only give him 2 points even though it was almost a full court shot

  • hey bosburn, enforcing the rule would teach the kid more than giving it too him because it was "one in a million" moment. You have to learn to play by the rules. 100% travel, should have been called.

  • Watch the ref. He raises his hand, fist clinched...signaling a 3-point shot attempt. All you "travel" focused folks should take a moment to just enjoy the one-in-a-million moment that this kid had in his young life.

  • He packed his bags and took a trip to Travelcity.

  • GREAT SHOT! I loved the way the young man heaved the ball with one hand like that! JUST INCREDIBLE! WTG KIDDO!

  • As everyone has pointed out, he travelled (maybe they're lenient with traveling in that league). If they're lenient with the rules, however, what if his shot hit the rim and missed? Do they say "close enough, 2 points!"?

  • Seriously, was that the third graders video editing project? I feel dirty watching something that poorly made.

Oh by the way, nice shot kid!

  • Seriously, was that the third graders video editing project? I feel dirty watching something that poorly made.

Oh by the way, nice shot kid!

  • What a shot? More like what a travel.

  • TRAVEL

  • it only counted as 2 points? really i hope he got like MVP or something outta it

  • why is only worth 2?

  • He walked...no good. We are supposed to ignore the rules because it a long shot? What kind of lesson does that teach?

  • Take the hoop off the board - blantant travel. This is why there should be instant reply in 8-year old rec hoops. Getting the call right is the most important thing in situations like these...

  • i think everyone crying about the travel is kinda missing the point of this video.

  • A travel for sure and usually in games with kids that young they normally don't count 3 point shots. All baskets are worth 2 points. Scoreboard says 30-30 at the end of game, not 30-31. Still a great shot though

  • Well, Dwyane Wade traveled on the full court alley-oop to LeBron James and no one seemed to discount that play! :D

  • gotta love the parents complaining on the sidelines.

  • Clearly a travel!

  • no good. the kid traveled..... ;-)
