I think they gave up their old sound during Misery is a Butterfly, I personally think 23 is a bit more remnant of their old sound than Misery is a Butterfly. 23 is my favourite album, Fake Can Be Just As Good is my second favourite. I think the old Blonde Redhead and the new are just as great.
