Ratcliff does not have the finishers instinct! he could have stopped him in the first round but he blew it, getting kneed in the nuts 3 times just took the fight out of him, gun shy and afriad to get close after that! rotten tomato fight if you ask me.

You definitely do not need to be in MMA without killer instinct. Frank Mir seems to have excellent killer instincts.

Exacty, Anyone that has even took highschool wrestling will take Cung down his kicks are too flashy and open, affective vs other strikers with less capabilities yes. Not knocking cung at all hes a phenomenal althlete and i enjoy watching him hes just been hyped for too long he wanted to fight Anderson Silva... not after tonight. I would love to see him take it a bit more serious and do some ground work.

I think Cung should have stayed retired, done movies & keep the illusion that he was invincible alive. He just took a huge blow to he marketability. How many times have we seen guys look phenomenal against lesser competition just to have them dominated by top flight competition.

Happens very often, i woulden't even call Smith top competition BUT he definatly is game and poses allot of problems for anyones by no means a chump.

Oh yeah, he has some decent Thai he just needs to not telegraph his punches, but yeah long story short it was a matter of time b4 Cung got exposed they are gonna market it as his comback though and he just got cought which is true, i agree he can be a beast "In no way as good as Silva hes too small" if he became more well rounded who are you going to get to sparr with thats a Sanshou champion besides him xD

It would be hard to mimic his stand up but I guess it would be hard to mimic any truly great fighter; Anderson, Machida, etc.

Greatness is hard to mimic.

I'm a fan of WEC i enjoy watching the smaller weight classes more techniue. "With few exceptions" But some good fights on that Strikeforce card. I actualy live in the San Jose area and have sparred/rolled with the diaz bros, Gilbert, Shield and Josh. This is the first event i coulden't attend wish i could have Gilbert did great man he looked pretty crisp and of course Jacare was gonna get a sub that kid is SLICK on the ground. I had a feeling Smith was gonna get the upset.

That Cerrone fight was good too, too very explosive smaller guys i think Cerrone just needs to find his rythym sooner and not rush it and he will beat Jamie he has the tools. Too add some credibility i have a brown belt under Cesar Gracie, Same Gracie the diaz bros and shields have.

It is like Cerrone has to realize he is in a fight then it is game on. He broke Jamie the first time. Jamie was looking for a way out.

Sounds like you get to hand with some cool fighters & have some real skills. I am a no belt in reality. :)

That sounds really cool to get to roll with those guys. I was buying your whole story until you said you thought Smith was going to get an upset. Did you really think he was going to get an upset?

Damian Mia & Jacare would be an amazing fight.

Yeah man, i just know Le has been off for two years and Smith has been busy and that rust gets to you. I knew this fight was tailor made for cung because Smith has no ground and Cung could just work angles because hes a more technical fighter. BUT i just had a feeling smith would get an upset. Cung has a pretty padded record and hasn't faced someone of Smiths caliber. "Yes frank is but hes past his prime" Scott isn't the greatest but he has an iron chin.

I agree. Cung has not faced any stiff competition. I think he was getting ready too with Dan Henderson or Jacare. I am not for sure if he will fight again? If fights a tough guy, I believe he will lose.
