@Arcaenon The "uncircumcised" cartridge, as the shooter put it, actually sticks out a little past the revolver chamber in order to create a seal between the barrel and cartridge when the cylinder is brought forward when the trigger is pulled. This means that, if it's quality new brass, you can just tap the front of the cylinder with the load gate open and they should pop right out.
@desmo2266 who cares if it wasn't? he was safe with the firearm before, during and after firing, and unloaded in a safe way. The ONLY thing i saw was a little trigger fail as he brought the gun up into presentation, and while i'd hope to not do the same... with the nagants HUGE DA trigger pull I'd not worry too much about it. Great vid!
it is no big deal with me, but habit alone compels me to refer to autos as pistols and wheel guns as revolvers. what gives me shivers is calling a magazine a clip. wish i had one of those little ruskie pieces, they bounce like a .22.
Seriously, why is it the worst. I mean by today's standards, it's a collectors item. But, if you want it to be better, just buy the 32 acp conversion. Even without it though, it is still an advanced weapon for it's era.
The .32 acp conversion cylinder doesn't produce as much power as the standard 7.62x38mm cartridge, however the round is easier to find in general. If you want better in terms of power, you can safely shoot .32 H&R Magnum out of the Nagant revolver with no damage to the gun, internally or externally. The reason being is that the original cartridge produced by the Russians was a much more powerful load than the commercially available stuff today.
yeah. it's a reference to the cartridge. the bullet is seated below the casing giving it the appearance of a dude's thing being "uncircumcised," as he so eloquently put it. they designed the cartridge that way to create the signature gas seal in the gun.
It's a great self defense gun for those that want a reliable gun, know what the hell they're doing, and can't afford a Smith & Wesson. The only down side is ammo. The traditional 7.62 Nagant revolver ammo is close to $30 for 50 rounds, but it's been proven that you can shoot both 32 S&W Long and .32 H&R Magnum out of it with no physical consequences to you or the gun. There is a rumor floating around that you could possibly shoot .327 federal mag out of it, but DON'T DO IT!
Let's take a moment here... my comment was posted, oh, 5 months ago? Yours... 15 hours ago? Is it possible in that amount of time my friend changed the title of his video to reflect the accurate designation of the weapon? Or, more specifically, MY weapon?
I realize my comment is silly, but it's because I'm making fun of my friend who is shooting my gun, poorly at that. I apologize to those who may have been taken offense at my verbiage.
hey the bullets aren't jewish! hahaha

How did you get the spent casings out of the cylinder that fast?
Arcaenon 1 year ago
@Arcaenon some will just fall out, depends on ammo and gun tightness.

Wow, you didn't use the ejector rod, nice. That way it's fast enough to compete with other revolvers of that era.

@urungutang did you really just say that? wow...

probably just referring to the bad trigger pull
