  • what balls? 6.9L couldnt move itself lil lone a 40ft gooseneck... do a cummins swap

  • Whats with all the small penis, guys?

  • @RobAlpacaflip maybe it's not small at all.

  • i just bought a 87 dually, same truck looks like, that 2wd right? and what have to done to it performance wise? obviously exhaust, anything else to help it smoke like that?

  • @haynzer55 small penis?

  • fordman420ci... Its Cummins dude, NOT CumminGs. The international idi's are my favorite engines in a Ford pickup ever, i bleed Ford Blue, but.... A 5.9 Cummins is definatly NOT overrated, they are simple, well built, durable, very powerful engines. How can you be too proud to like an old idi but not respect a Cummins... Must be a kid

  • @DrMcelroy what he's tryin to say is there are too many people going around shouting out OH CUMMINS IS THE BEST CANT BEAT A CUMMINS EVERYTHING ELSE IS SHIT I NEED ME MY CUMMINS AND EVERYONE ELSES TRUCK SUCKS.

you have to admit, cummins owners are VERY cocky

  • By brother broke the shaft in that tranny and we put the 4spd out of my '84 250 in it and it never ran as good, would only do around 40mph in 3rd gear. With the original tranny and the turbo, the truck would get wicked good mileage on the interstate.

  • SBGorilla62... Yeah, idk what those dudes were talking about, im not sayin they never made them but i dont think any 6.9's came with a 5spd. We have a 87 F-350 single wheel 4x4 with a 6.9 and a 4 spd... Its ALL factory. There were two 4spd trannies btw, the one in my '86 F-350 6.9 (ATS Turbo) was geared different. It had 3:55's and it would run 70mph in third gear with 35's on it

  • @DrMcelroy guy i work has the last year 6.9 idi with a 5 speed ZF tranny

  • nice truck, you just cant beat a good IDI , cummings are to over rated, oh its got a C on it for CUMMAPART!!! LMAO. but i love your truck! sweet ride

  • love the paint sceme.

  • it would look better with dual stacks in my opinion

  • my buddy owns a 87 6.9 and it has a 4 speen man.

  • ok. i owned an 87 f-350 xlt with the 6.9idi for five years. i rebuilt the engine, transmission and rear end, and for any one who doesnt know. the 1987 ford F-350 6.9 aspirated(non-tubro) diesel came with a optional manual 5 speed or an automatic 4 speed over drive transmission, and the rear end in mine was a 410 rear-end. when i finally sold the truck it had 727,083 miles and still had a shit load of power.

  • @jamestolar09 wow thats a ton of miles

  • i was going to go purchase an '86 f250 6.9 idi with a 4 speed manual tranny for $1000. it had 48,xxx original miles and the guy sold it as i was driving out to give him the money for it. i was so pissed off.

  • @jamestolar09 are they expensive to maintain? As far as parts go that is. What were the most expensive parts to replace?

  • @kawana87 radiator support, it rusts out on everyone of them i have seen and the u joints will get ya

the engines them self are great imo

  • Id love one of these trucks, bit big for UK roads though, saw a 7.3idi pickup with ambulance box on rear, good mpg, better than a thrashed mazda 2.5 diesel!

  • how much you got it turned up?

  • Nice truck, those are hard to come by. 4speed or auto?

  • Its the newer body style so it has to be a one year only 87 6.9 . In 87 they had 5 speeds, no 4spds. and e40d auto or c6 auto.

IMO the 87 is the best 6.9 truck, newer body style and new interior and 5 speed overdrive !!

  • well then our 87 f-350 must not be an 87 because its a T-19 4 speed

  • 5spd was an option. Is it an XLT truck or a stripped down truck ??

  • your contradicting your self now. in the post above you said that they diddnt have 4 speeds period.

its a stripped down f-series custom. ( it just says F-series) on the dash.

and its carborated instead of EFI.

  • what the hell you talking about.

your truck is GAS, I'm talking about DIESEL.

They added the 5spd in 87 to get the RPM's down on the diesel, they were screamin with No o/c and 3.55 rear.

    wow.

  • well if your so smart you would know that the c-6 would have the same final drive ratio as the T-19 so there for they would have cancled the c-6 aswell.

"In 87 they had 5 speeds, no 4spds < thats what the hell im talking about

  • WITH THE DIESEL.

NO 4 SPEEDS IN 87 BEHIND THE DIESEL.

THIS VIDEO IS A DIESEL, if you got a C6 behind a diesel you most of the time got 3.07 gears.

You were in the wrong for tellilng me your truck had a 4spd and its a gasser. So stop.

  • my 6.9L with a c-6 has 3.54's

  • thats cool.

both of the ones in my family were 3.07's . dana 70

  • what year where they. because i believe they were 3.08's my buddy's 89 f-150 had 3.08's with a 300-6 and a 4 speed

  • @TBWdracula2003 With the 3/4 and 1 tons...you could only get 3.55's or 4.10's from the factory. you could change out to 3.73's, 4.56's 5.13's and I think even 5.88's....but I am not 100% sur eon this for the 10.25 Sterling rearend. On the Oilburners site, a member converted an early HD D44 front end to 3.08's and matched the rearend gears in the back axle....getting pretty wicked milage numbers!!

  • yeah my truck blows more and it has a turbo

  • mine blows more and its N/A. who cares. its a nice damn truck

  • Nice Truck!!!
