This game was never sold by the title "R-GEAR".

No actually, judging by the gameplay and such it was a prototype of Ray Force 2 but as we know, Ray Force 2 is actually Ray Storm.

Ray Storm was phenomenal, Ray Crisis was okay, and Gunlock (Ray Force) was fucking awesome!
