The first Dynasty Warriors was a one on one fighter in the style of Tekken. Dynasty Warriors 2 was the start of the beat-em-ups, and it happened to be the first in the sangoku musou series in Japan, since it was so different from the first game.

The gameplay of DW6 does not have that feel the old ones do. While there are many improvements, the lack of player individuality, items,mosou ect leaves you with a bit of an empty feeling. Although it hasn't stopped me from playing it...

yeah I feel ya.....I have gotten used to it, and now there are some things I like about it and things I dont like (Like Gan Ning daggers, but HATE Sun Ce's Spear for example)....and all the other DW's had some sick music to go with it....this is just average music in DW 6

DW6 Empires, although has DW6 gameplay (which is lacking in combos) gives you the opprotunity to change gameplay. But the character custom. is missing somthing in DW6 empire.s

what do you mean change gameplay? like traditional combos versus chain renbu's??? I have gotten used to the chains now and I see why they put them in DW6 b/c that's alot of people to fight, and no custom/create characters mode????
