  • is there a time limit on bars or a limit to how many moves you can do? i dont know much yet :(

  • @The2bfamous There isn't a limit to how many moves you can do, but in 2008, they took the 10 most difficult skills done to count towards the D-score. Since 2009, they changed it to the 8 most difficult skills. Also, in general a time-limit isn't needed on an event like bars, where it's constantly moving (unlike floor and balance beam)

  • @khjasonhsiao oh i get it now thanks for explaining :)

  • I don't really know much about competing gymnastics, is there a time limit on bars or a limit of moves

  • I like when you see her look down at her toes in her front giants

  • When you watch the 2008 Olympics, you can tell they were in China because when the Chinese perform there is lots more applause... and needless to say they all are fantastic.

  • holy shit.....amazing!!!!

  • Incredible!!!

  • sorry misspelled tkachev. Also, I do agree with the one comment that the chinese have been underscored for years... take a look at 97 world beam EF when Khorkina won and the chinese got bronze... That was a robbery

  • @citiuscovax1 That was Gina Gogean who took the gold, not Svetlana (she got silver). Svetlana's routine wasn't as boring as Gina;s but Kui was definitely better than both of them...

  • Wow, they both had great routines. However, there were visible issues in Nastia's routine that were just not present in He's. Other than the giant cowboy on her double front half out... and its not a blind landing so thus not more difficult... she has legs apart at the bottom of almost every front giant she does AND the back giant before her tchakev. There are errors there and please dont say because they were tall... so were betty okino, boyginskaya and khorkina

  • @citiuscovax1 he has dead hangs, muscled up kips and leg separations as well. her arms are bent at times and had some difficulties with her pirouettes. he's routine is more impressive, but you cant say there were no visible errors.

  • I love Nastia's gymnastics but there is no comparison He Kexin deserved that medal. That was an amazing bar routine that Nastia simply isnt able to do.

  • @MrAerial12345 Umm... SO?

  • Just like that, huh? Why doesn't every gymnast just simply raise their difficulties? I guess no one heard that Beth Tweddle had a routine with a higher difficulty than Nastia.

  • wow she did amazing! anybody competeing at this level of gymnastics is amazing, but i think that Nastia and Yang Yilin did a better job then He on this one. He definately got a little overscored. she had a dead hang a step on landing and a couple form breaks.I think the judging was a little unfair for yilin and kexin.

  • Congratulations .... amazing bars the best that i have ever seenn... <3 just incredible

  • Gorgeous!!

  • He Kexin is awesome but honestly I think both Nastia AND He should have gotten gold because of the fact that He took a step on her dismount and Nastia's only real visual error was that her knees were apart in her dismount but most double fronts are done that way so it's easier to land.

  • @XxSportyMusicGirlxX Even considering only the visual errors you mentioned, He's step is a -0.1 deduction while Nastia's knees apart are a -0.3 deduction. So I'm having a problem with why you think Nastia should have also gotten gold. Also, why does doing something that makes it "easier to land" excuse Nastia's obvious form problem? I mean, taking a step makes it "easier to land" too and is even more common.

  • I love He kexin!!! She's awesome.

  • If she didnt take that little steep she would have won lol :P Weird to think about

  • @JJoshWinchester Except that she DID win. Maybe you shouldn't stress yourself with all this thinking and leave it to people with brains.

  • @bikerOGX People like you are pathetic. Why go through the trouble of insulting someone on an innocent comment they made on a video. Fuck you. :)

  • @JJoshWinchester Doesn't that mean YOU'RE pathetic then? Cuz you just insulted me on an innocent comment I made on a video. :)

  • what was that first release combination called? holy crap that looked amazing...

  • @tmwalkerm li ya

  • @bookiewormie1 thanks :)

  • He Kexin is good... for a 13 year old.

  • @danasuperstar She was good when she was 13 years old, but here she's even more amazing at 16 years old.

  • This is a beautiful routine. It deserved such a high score.

Nastia also had a beautiful routine and I think it is fair that they tied.

However, there should have been two gold medals. They are both great bar workers and both deserve it.

  • @GetAGrip2016 Taylor Swift has a beautiful video. Beyonce has a beautiful video too. There should have been two MTV video music awards. They are both great music artists and both deserve it.

    Sincerely,

    Stop "Kanye-ing" He Kexin

  • wow

  • OMG SHE'S 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they are good because of the coach not them if they doesnt have a coach they wouldnt win

  • she won uneven bars olympics tho?

  • her routine is so clean !!

  • that is bull that she beat luikin cus she took a step on her landing.

  • @TheJordy456 Kexin's step on landing is a minor deduction. Nastia's horrible form on her "cowboyed" double-front dismount, however, is a major deduction. So the only bull here is maybe the one Nastia was trying to ride.

  • @bikerOGX i didnt see anything wrong with the form on nastias dismount because you are aloud to tuck like that she also tucks with her knees like that on her double front on floor ex so i dont see where that would bring a big deduction and if you didnt know her and he kexin tied and the way the computer was set up made He win. so its your opinion and btw i love he kexin too so im not being harsh just because im from the u.s.

  • @TheJordy456 You do realize that you're supposed to keep your knees together in a tuck, right? Toes should be pointed also. Now go look at a video of Nastia's dismount again and tell me there's nothing wrong with her form. You're correct that she cowboys her double front on FX also. That's why she gets the same deduction there too. And the tie-break rule may seem kind of arbitrary, but the rule has been in effect at numerous competitions for over 10 years before the Beijing Olympics.

  • @bikerOGX i'm pretty sure that he gold winning coach/father would not let her get a deduction on such a stupid thing so i think they know what they are doing. and she put her legs together when she lands so thats what really matters. and many people tuck like that on floor too and there olympians. im not trying to be mean im just saying and we both have our opinions.

  • @TheJordy456 LOL. Try reading the Code of Points. It has nothing to do with opinion. You have a leg separation, you lose points. You flex your feet, you lose points. It's that simple. It's not like Nastia prefers to have bad form. She does it because she knows she doesn't have enough rotation to land her double-front properly, so she pulls her legs into ugly cowboy form in order to lower the moment of inertia and speed up rotation. It's better than under-rotating and landing on your ass.

  • beautiful innovative routine. Only Khorkina does more difficult moves in sequence.

  • She is soo cute and short :D

I'm a hugee Nastia fan, but He totally deserved this; she did waaay bettr.

  • nastia's legs come apart because her legs are longer if she doesn't she'll hit the bar with her feet.

  • the only deduction i c is the late half turn, step on dismount, and using muscle casting to handstand

and the late half turn i heard on the english one

  • and the dead swing inbetween low to high bar

  • The almost dead hang after her first series of releases and the heavily muscled kip up to high bar are what kill me. I like that she has a bold routine when everyone else relied on pirouetting that quad. Now, she has improved her kips in the last two years which makes her routines all the better.

Nastia is a lovely bar worker. She has a lot of flair, but I saw more mistakes in her routine than I did in He Kexin's routine. They both have a different style and both are exceptional athletes.

  • great job for a 12 year old!

  • @snofagun1814 12 year old cant enter the olympics.

  • i dont care how good people think she is nastia and shawn are way better!

  • she did do amazing skills and was good but that toe up to high bar was kind of a dead catch her last blind tuns were sloppy and then the step on the dismount with her chest down nastia had a lil close hip to the bar catch on her pak (layout to low bar) and legs apart in the air on her dismount and i guess her tkatchev could be a little higher but other than that her routine seemed way cleaner and closer to perfection then this one.He Kexin ahould of been second

  • chills!

  • 何可欣。加油。。希望下一屆奧運全能金牌是您的。加油。加油。加油。。。。

  • looks very young

  • He Kexin had more "wow" factor difficulty but Nastia had more technical difficulty so I really understand why they tied.

  • @benrobinson77 like figure skating these days, less about grace and more about the energy.

  • @benrobinson77 and he kexin didnt stick here dismount

  • amazing. and love your username. lmao.

  • shes amazing she deserved to win . sorry

  • @pinkxo44 she did win dumbasss.

  • Watching her and Nastia's routines back to back and taking in the fact that they both had 7.7 difficulty, Nastia should have won.

  • what is the name of her first skill?

  • i love her first skill wow

  • 恭喜何可欣获得2009年体操世锦赛高低杠冠军!....wowo....we all love you !

Go China .....go go go ....

  • so u know how nastia liuken seems really tall? well shes actually not. shes about my height (5'3) and shes like 7 years older than me too! she seems so tall compared to all those other gymnasts, especially the chinies ones. does that mean there like 4 feet only?

  • nastia liukin is not 5 ft 3 and to tell you, youre short!! nastia liukin has a body for rhythmic gymnastics and shes about 5 ft 6 -7 ft. the other chinese gymnasts, the shortest is 4 ft 9

  • no shes actually 5'1, not 5'3. ive seen her and shes about 3 inches smaller than me. im 5'4 and thats pretty tall (unless your a volleyball player) for a 12 year old girl. I go to the same gym as her and i (used to) see her all the time

  • Nastia is NOT 5'6 she is like 5'2. To do bars at the elite level you have to set them at fig. So she just appears to be really tall. Plus everyone else is wicked short

  • Nastia's a 5'3

  • Kexin is awesome. :) So is Nastia. Personally, I think Nastia seemed to have done in better because she was taller and all that which made her look more elegant on the bars, but truly, they are both really really good.

  • 何可欣!你實在是太厲害啦!

    不過你真該休息一下,太大壓力啦

    享受一下吧,都練了十幾年體操了

    即使你不再練,我們也不怪你

    因為,你已經給中國光榮!

  • i love her release combination and the layed out jeager. she's not the best in bars, she only beat Nastia because of a tie breaker rule that was unrelated to bars. in my mind they both are the best. many other Olympic competitions have had people share medals in the past.

  • I think she looks like a cute lil alien. I do. Im not even tryna be rude. She looks like a cute lil alien!

  • i'm agree with you but she is the best in bars!

  • he Kexin!!! good JOb!!!!

  • Today one year what He Kexin made this amazing result!!!

    GO HE KEXIN !!!!

    YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! forever

  • wow it's amazing

  • That "Nastya" girl is over scored, Yilin was much better as was Beth. Kexin showed originality and an exciting routine which few people can do in this code. While Nastia's is so eeehhhhhhh

  • She's absolutely fantastic, but it always kills me that gymnasts who can do as much on the UB as the Chinese can still muscle their kips and can't do a decent toe shoot to save their lives.

  • amen amen amen.

  • Are people actually making excuses for Nastia cowboying her legs because she's TALL? lol Tell that nonsense to someone like Khorkina. Liukin could learn a thing or two from her on how to keep your legs together for her dismount.

  • @mzmissa she has to cowboy her legs or else when she lands he knees will hit her face. That how you should do in all double front sort of skills

  • @tatulover2120 So saying that Nastia has a squat landing? That's even more deductions!

  • @tatulover2120 No you don't have to cowboy a double front. Have you seen Ivana Hong's double front on floor?

  • @bernardmarianovella have notice the height difference between nastia and ivanna?

  • @tatulover2120 have you noticed that the COP doesn't give exceptions to tall people for having bad form?

  • @bikerOGX LMAO, good answer :)

  • He kexin is amazing. Love her

  • sigh sometimes I wish Beth hadnt missed her last piroutte and hit her dismount, so that she would get gold and this fight wouldnt be necessary

  • Wooo! Beth Rocks!

  • says?

  • Kexin's dismount a joke?

At least she can do it with beautiful pointed toes!

    Nastia's dismount is a D, like Kexin's.

''Such a difficult dismount'', yeah right

Nastia is not the only woman who can do that dismount, and many others can do it WAY better than her, besides Nastia separes her legs in her inverted gigants.

I don't speak english, so I may have some gramatical mistakes.

  • 17.3

  • i know. she lost a bit of swing power after the transition to the low bar. you can definitely see it.

  • She had some mistakes. She mounted the high bar from force few times, not from balance like it should be. The skills she is doing are amazing, but still, there should be deductions for those things.

  • Yang Yillin was near perfect, even though I love nastia. That day yang performed the best. Both nastia and he both missed handstands, which should have put them both out of gold medal position

  • ur so freakin retarded

  • Nobody would have got a 10...

  • the thing that gets me about this performance is that her pirouette before her dismunt was way off like beth tweddle's was and they destroyed beth for it and he gets gold, in my book thats BS

  • china's style is great. so much perfection

  • she kept her legs pointed, and together on the dismount, and nastia didnt.

nastia didnt have to use that much strenth to get into her kips, and kexin did.

so they both had one thing the other doesnt.

    both routines were really good.

  • what are kips?

  • its the move she does at 0:28 - 0:30 and 0:37 - 0:39 and 0:44 - 0:46 and 0:48 - 0:50 (you can see on this one how much strength she needs to pull up because she doesnt have a lot of swing), nastia uses a kip to mount the bars.

  • i know! worst hects ever!

  • ..........its kinda hard to do a tkatchev correctly on a girls bar....

  • yupp...becuz u dont have time 2 really clear the low bar, (with NL's height0 andd theyre ya go throwin a tkatchev.

  • yea, but he kexin totally didn't hiit any sort of handstand on the ono half before the dismount. there shold be SO MUCH deducted from that sequence

  • Comment removed

  • yeaah, thats true. cause im tall, and i have to seperate them or else ill hit the low bar

  • She should have won bars.

Nastias legs came apart on almost every giant she did. Kexins? Not once. Her dismount was amazing too.

Nastia did great. But Kexin did better.

  • @Chelseyyx3 Where did she hit the bar?

  • @ninjachild5 she did won bars

  • @ninjachild5 she won bars

  • @ninjachild5 Shut up! first of all she did win bars! second nastia has to spread her legs when she does giant because she is tall and would hit her feet on the bar if he didn't so dont comment if you dont know what you are talking about and nastia is far more grace full and nice looking in the air.

  • @TheJordy456 First, Khorkina was taller than nastia but never had any bent knees on giant. Nastia has: BAD TECHNIC. Being tall is not an excuse to have bad form. You work on it, you adapt the skill to your body. Second, your legs are supposed to be together on a tuck, other fact ! Cowboy= BAD TECHNIC, and DEDUCTIONS. Te only thing she worked on was twisting. Unfortunately, you need a oduble salto to fullfill requirement and they add this awdul double front she CAN T do properly. BAD TECHNIC.

  • @Missnewyork28 Fact: it is TECHNIQUE, not TECHNIC. BAD SPELLING.

  • @TinyAva93 Do u feel smarter after that ? Or more interesting ? I'd love to hear your answer, because a part from trying to .. What were u trying to do exactly ?

  • @Missnewyork28 I just figured, you're so into your "facts" that you'd like a few more to add to your file. If you are going to get all rude and nasty with other people, the least you could do is get your spelling right, it makes it so much easier to figure out what you're saying.

  • @TinyAva93 What is your prolem anyway ? I was just pointing out Nastia's mistakes and the fact that she doesn't deserve gold. If u have a,nything interesting to say about this, feel free. Criticizing my spelling, and u might find intersting that i'm not a native english speaker and that i make mistake; is so cheesy and not intersting. If i need any spelling tips, I'll use a dictionnary.

  • @ninjachild5 nastia straddles her legs on purpose so she doesnt hit the bars.. and beside she did win.

  • @Gymfrogx4 Nastia doesn't do straddle giants. Her leg separations actually occur on the upswing.

  • Svetlana is still the Queen of the bars.

He Kexin had a great release skill though I think Bi Wenjing did better.

  • primera vez que escucho a un comentador hablando en español... por fin, He kexin is amazing of course much and a lot better than NASTIA.... buuuuuuu...

  • wow she is really great

  • this chinese is much better than liukin

    my opnian

  • Did she make a one handed catch on :26?

  • i can see why the judgges made her get first instead of nastia, because nastia has a few form breaks and has her legs apart on a couple of skills

but she would have won if the chinese girls were telling the truth about their AGES!!!!!!!

but if they did that they wouldnt have more than one girl on their team... o.O

  • Age: 18

uhh... kewl... no not really. i have no life. bummer.

    Country: United States

    ............

    OK! I understand

  • wait what?

    my profile?

    what do you understand???

  • all chinese gymnasts are the best/! they are amazing they all have their own special events LOL XD like he with bars , chung with vault yang , is an all around gymnast , and yeah , they amaze me like for their size they can just beat alomist everone ... except shawn johnson :) shes the best in the worldd!! :)

  • Missing the lower bar has more to do with piking the body than it does straddling the legs. If I understand the physics correctly, straddling the legs on the downswing allows for more swing and force into the release.

  • Yeah, for me, Nastia's movements are too ordinary, lack of surprise.. I know her difficulty is 7.7 (same as He Kexin and Yang Yilin), however, the quality and performance just can't catch my eyes.. sorry.. and her dismount... not beautiful too~

  • With some judges' help, Liukin has been overscored on all 4 events. Because she has a low SV on vault, some judges help her with ridiculous high B score. Her Beam is often slow and has pauses between connections (shouldn't be counted as connected moves); her beam dismount is ugly. She crosses her legs and feet and separates her legs on almost all her floor landings. Her UB has many visible problems and a frog-like dismount. She cannot win if judged as how other gymnasts are judged.

  • why does she straddle her legs at :40 to go into the tkachev? (the low bar is on the other side)

  • Who care if you like Nastia or not, she is and will be the 2008 all-around champions the whole life.

  • who care if she has the gold or not. We all know Shawn was robbed, and the gold winner is not deserving it

  • I thought Shawn messed up on her vault that's why she didn't win.

  • yes!!

  • Nastias dismount was pretty bad in form, but she is really good.

I do agree though, she should have been behind He Kexin.

    Oh well; its over now.

  • Does anyone know if she has EVER stuck the landing on this UB routine? Please post it or attach the link if you find it. Really want to see it. ty :)

I LOVE this UB routine of hers.

To be fair Nastia Liukin has a hard time sticking her bars landings as well. and Kexin's form is better.

  • just watch her prelims;

yes she did stick her landing but...

  • she has amazing height on her first jaeger

  • Liukin always hugely seperates her legs on her bars dismount. She also has un-pointed toes, flat feet, and almost always separates her legs on her floor landings. These tricks make her dismount and landings much easier. Her connections on beam are often slow. She's beenoverscored for a long time perhaps due to her dad's close connections with east european judges? It's so funny when some american fans talk about "fair judging". Chinese are the ones who have often been underscored over the years.

  • ahe,i like the way you comment.i dont know why i don't really like Liukin at all.:)
