I agree no one will ever replace Tammy Wynette. She wrote and sang like no one will ever be able to duplicate. RIP we love you Tammy forever to reest of our natural lives.
I read in her book that of course this song was about George Jones, what a fantastic singer she was, thank God we still have her music, she was one talented woman.
Great post! First time I heard this song was here on your post. Sure reminds me of my ex-wife! LOL THAT's great country music! Great job and thank you.
first heared this on an arena programme and have been trying to find it ever since. Thank you so much. On the same programme she sang part of a song she also wrote which she said was called the bottle. "i love you from a four year old was such a gift" and "but a four ounce glass of whiskey gave a better lift" were just some of the lyrics.Would love it if anyone could post this.

I love Tammy, she was one of a kind. Why did she leave so quick? She was a great entertainer. Even though she is gone, we can still enjoy her music.

I can't believe Tammy was never known as a songwriter as well as a singer, she was great at both. Thanks
