  • @kingtutenkhamin yo, Nazi, if you wanna be an ass about this I'm game, if you look back at dreadlock history you would know dreadlocks have actually been a white dominated style, it became and AFRICAN (not little black bitch in America) in the 1930's but if you don't wanna consider 15000Bc-1930 that's cool, I have no problem with anyone wanting dreads (I'm white/native American btw) let people live there life, it's knotted dead blood cells, get the hell over it!

    dumb nigger

  • Whats this??? More whites STEALING & MIMICKING AFRICAN CULTURE...nothing new here.

  • @KingTutankhamun100

    yo....shut the fuck up.

    your dumb.

dreads dont allocate to a race, but a time period.

Thumbs up if ya think KingTutankhamun100 should shut up and educate himself! hahaha

.....and King Tut was all wraggly and diseased, looked more like a limpin imp than a Pharaoh, BURN!

    lmao

  • @MaximoSmokes DREADLOCKS, BRAIDS, AFROS, KINKY TWIST ETC = ALL AFRICAN HAIRSTYLES. Stop copying African culture if you cant respect us!..... Oh & BURN! lmao

  • Comment removed

  • @MaximoSmokes You Say "Africans didn't INVENT dreadlocks" & then you say "more native Jamaicans rock dreads than native Africans" "rock" lol I am digging the lingo LMAO But anyway I think those Black Jamaicans you are talking about are of African descent, are they not? But dreadlocks aren't an African hairstyle according to you right? Its European isn't it lol Don't fool yourself! You know thats not TRUE

  • @KingTutankhamun100

    hahaha, wow.

    your fuckin ignorant.

Cultures dating back thousands of years have "rocked" dreads, Hindi, Egyptian, some people wore them to show royalty while others had them cause they couldnt maintain clean hair.

If your gonna hate on people for being their own individual then you need to chill out and rethink some shit lol.

go get a taper fade, sip a 40, and stfu

  • @MaximoSmokes Lol You wiggers need guidance

  • @KingTutankhamun100 Well in that case us African Americans

(black people) need to stop perming their hair to have long silky hair when we were all born with beautiful nappy and curly hair

  • @KingTutankhamun100 Well in that case us African Americans

  • @gianniswildchild i want an answer to that same question. if you find out,let me know pleeeeeeeasssssssseeeeeee

  • @SUPERGIRL94wow

dreads will take 3-4 inches off your hair depending on how thick. The thicker the hair dread will take off 3 inches from natural, if real fine hair, abotu 5 inches off

  • @gianniswildchild Around half the length that your hair is now :)

  • @gianniswildchild dreads will take 3-4 inches off your hair depending on how thick. The thicker the hair dread will take off 3 inches from natural, if real fine hair, abotu 5 inches off

  • Yo I'm in process of growing my hair for dreads, how long did it take you to get em like that, and what method did u use.. Any tips/advice would be cool

  • awwsome dreads

  • NICE!!!!!!! : )

  • jak ta nuta sie nazywa

  • One of the few things I regret was having to take my dreads out, as it was the only time in my life I was happy with my hair...unfortunately the initial seperations weren't done properly and I was given some bad advice on how to maintain them, so my hair ended up turning into one big dread (which looked totally scank!). Am planning to re-dread later this year, after I've done as much research as possible. x

  • @TheCarrottTop Stay Dready : )

  • ZAJEBIOZA!!!!!

  • i love dreads and regret cutting mine. it was for a grate job in a grate position. just to get laid off... i am growing my hair back and WILL not cut them off again.

btw i am white. and i dont believe in ANY kind of substance abuse. i dont smoke drink or even take prescription drugs (which btw are the worst kind).

  • @qbenplaya00 wow, aside from drinking and smoking (tobacco only) your story sounds exactly like mine. i cut mine off for a job, only to get laid off a month later after the shop ran out of work for me to do. now i'm growing my hair out again, and hopefully redreading it

  • Go wash your hair you fuckin yuppie, hippie wannabes... Nah just kiddin. but i do have to say i don't think dreadlocks mean shit... the convictions ppl put to them are only there cause they say it's there " dude my hairs spiritual.' Oh, whats the condition of your heart? I had some crack head tell me once he had spirit hair. Right dude like you hold anything sacred xcept crack and his dreads look like shit but the one's in the video above are cool. So nice dreads guy.

  • Real Naughty brides are there world5.info

  • whats the song called??

  • why the fuck do people care so much as who had dreadlocks first?! its just freaking hair knotted up it aint owned by any single race for god sake!

  • @thedec3nt

exactly... the whole human race was black about 3-4million years ago... so technically you COULD say they had hair first lol but that doesnt mean that hair isnt for us all :P

  • @ryangaston88 I call bullshit. Thats theory not fact. but don't get all offended and shit that i called it out. Ppl sometimes don't know the difference.

  • @420cheekymonkey

no, i know the difference between argument and debate... but no... its scientific fact... and there is LOADS of evidence... go look in some museums or read some books about the evolution of the human race

seriously... homo sapiens (the human race) originated in south africa and, the heat and intense sun would have caused them to have evolved from fur to dark skin...

then as man migrated north and colonised europe etc their skin got lighter over millions of years

  • @ryangaston88 OHH REALLY! cause they also said for years that it the human raced was geussed to start around where Iraq is. Then later Africa they speculate...but hey i said don't get offended, dude. But again it's another youtube comment war, i wont go there. and if you know the differece between argument and debate then you would think you would also know, all science is debatable. Just another quick question though are from african decent? like recently? not " 3-4 millions of years ago"?

  • @420cheekymonkey

the wonderful thing about science is it is a forward moving thing. New evidence is always being discovered that proves new ideas. Science is constantly evolving. Scientists might have once thought humans came from Iraq but then new evidence would have been found that would have proved otherwise. The oldest human remains that were ever found were found in africa. Science is debatable... but irrifutable evidence isnt.

Im not offended. And no, im from the UK from British descent.

  • @ryangaston88 And that being said The new evidence always being discovered proves old evidence to be wrong don't be to quick to jump on that train. so i think ill stick to Einstein and forgo evolution cause it confused adaption. I stand by what is say and on top of it I'm now going to say Shenanigans to you good sir. I do however commend you on being passonate about what you say. I do commend you for being passionate in what you believe. I still don't buy what there sellin and aint going too.

  • I love your dreads. so much.

  • @wwemikoy123 lol, hilarious question, Um, the same way you do with your hair! I uploaded a video about washing my 7 year old locs. Check it out. Hopefully it will dispel some of the most ridiculous rumors behind the ancient old locs.

  • @wwemikoy123 Yep you can. For showering if you dont want them wet every time its better to put em up. But yes you definitely have to wash em (greasy dreads are not good). I wash mine once a week. And you can swim with them too, though its better not to when you just had em put. Unless its (clean) sea water, dreads like salt!

  • i want to have sexy time with ur hair

  • @MsKimmova its those people that never stick it out and dont really appreciate them.because its a fad,it really means nothing to them,if you offered me thousands of dollars i wouldnt cut mine, and in no way am i saying its a spiritual thing or anything like that, its just me,and i dont feel right without them

  • @MsKimmova why does it affect you so much what others do? such as how they have their hair?

  • @birdiemackane I said it affects me so much? I thought I said it disappoints me. No big deal, it jus does

  • I agree with ryangaston88 no matter what method you use its a long commitment. Im growing my hair out right now, Six months in and just growing my hair out is hard by its self. Even harder when everybody you know is telling you to cut you hair. Me personally I am going use the method that is going to make my dreads look as nice and clean as possible.

  • @haymaker510

    wooo!!

i reccomend DreadHeadHQ, check their website... it has ALL the info you need.

Dont believe ANY of the stories that try and scare you away from wax. DreadHeadHQ wax is awesome... i never had any problems with it.

just dont use too much of it... thats when it causes problems.

  • @haymaker510 true mate i had that i did my dreads then got it re done 3 months later.....grew it for 5 to 6 months and every cunt sayin cut it man the ends a re splitting its gay it looks messy which it did cos of lack of maintenence i jus let itself take care......then tho of chopping it......thank god i didn't i got the re done and looked up on maintenance and now i know y mine was lookin crap was usin conditioner never rolled it or loose hair jus let it groww....

  • i wonder wher you work with those things

  • holy fuckin shit those are tha longest dreadlocks iv ever seen

  • dude thats fuckin wicked bro holy fuck haha sick dreads

  • How were they created? Did you do them yourself? And what did you do to maintain them that good looking? I'm thinking about getting dreadlocks instead of just cutting my long hair. But I think it's important to look healthy and the dreadlocks needs to be neat.

  • Those are like, the perfect locks.

  • Brothers there shall be wolves among us. Vanity is sin. this poor young man was quite clearly led astray by someone (who shall remain nameless to I) hiding the Truth of Jah Love. at least he cut em! Let JAH make em, not babylon fake em! Rastalive.

  • not every dreadhead is a ras, and not every ras is a dreadhead, rastafari is a way of life. (btw i hope you are not under the impression that whites cannot be rastas, if u are against the fakers, fair play to u)

  • such BEAUTIFUL dreads!!! i love them, too bad you cut them! =(

  • @nikkiwikkidoodle why cant u cut them?

  • hell yeah ! awesome dreads

  • give me your dreadsXD

  • PLEASE someone tell me the name of this song!!! =]

  • @nikkiwikkidoodle

    Habakuk - Rozczochrany Łeb

  • nice locks

  • i salute u dreadhead! peace out.

  • wow ! dreads have come along way . First they were grown naturally , to chant down social acceptance , mean something to the heart . Now they are they the opposite of that : Vanity . Spiritual to some , trendy to others dreadlocks from a box . Whats next republicans w/dreads . I heard paris hilton is growing dreads , too .Don't remember bob marley for what he looked like , but what he lived like , natural .

  • Exactly, its sad.

  • @MultiAteam

fuck your idea of 'dreads in a box'. No dreadlocks are instant.

No matter what meathod people use to create their dreadlocks they are a big commitment that require a lot of hard work, care and maintainence... especially if you want them to look neat and attractive and your caucasian.

It's a hair-style that is 1000s of years old and runs through many cultures.

but its just a hairstyle. It doesnt "mean" anything

  • respect!! totally agree with u! it takes atleast a couple of hours per day, to keep them nice!!! and, if u do them yourselve as i did, about a 6 months, up til a year, before they are ready!!!

    pz

  • @madfunker1

few hours as in 1 hour or 3 hours?

  • @ryangaston88 actually i got dreads accidentally (no work at all, no maintenance), i didn't brush my hair which was kinda afro and it grew longer as time passed by, so i've got more than 50 natural dreads, thinner or thicker, they're reach the middle of my back and a little more..

  • @ryangaston88 you made a mistake, for the Rastafarians, the dreadlocks have a mean

  • @ryangaston88 ACTUALLY, DREADS ARE NOT "JUST A HAIRSTYLE". A HAIRSTYLE IS...WELL A HAIRSTYLE. SOMETHING YOU CAN TAKE OUT EVERY NIGHT BEFORE YOU GO TO BED...

  • @ryangaston88 dreads do have a meaning.the point is to let god comb your hair.never being selfish enough to try to"style"it out yourself for personal satisfaction.people only worry about"fashion and looking good"to attract mates and becouse thats all theyve learned from living in "society" what they call babylon. never brushing nor taking care of you hair is one way to show humbleness towards god and slaping babylon in the face at the same time. now some people wear them to try and look "cool"

  • @sonofcreator2

that's the meaning that YOU choose to give to them...

i dont believe in your god or any god so why would i want to show anything to something that i dont believe in?

I dont give my dreads any meaning... i just think they look good on me... thats all that matters.

  • @MultiAteam do you think dreads should not be mainstream? or accepted main stream? personally i like how they have integrated into mainstream culture.

its not anything more then hair to some people. i respect that. it may be more to me..but i respect that everyone dose not feel the way i do about hair/locs.

  • i was wondering if you could tell me the name of that song and who its by? thanks! GREAT dreads by the way!!! =D

  • man of my

    dream

    haha

    :D

  • I love you-...... :)
