  • Gypsy is two now and i'm scared and heart broken for you...

  • We just lost our girl last Sunday, she was the second of the couple we had to let go. They were not GSD but mallinois, very closely related to the GSD.

We lost our old man 3 years ago when he was almost 17 and our girl was 17,5 when we had to let her go. 20 years together, Still can not believe they are both gone now.

Was not the best timing for me to run into your tribute of Puppy, but when is??

Thanks for you this lovely tribute!

  • We had to have our angel, Taz, put to sleep yesterday. He was 10...a german shepard/angel mix. My soul is deeply wounded. Thank you for this video.

  • As the owner of sisters Amy & Abbey, our pair of police dog drop outs I have learnt just how great these dogs can be. Sorry for your loss sounds like you were lucky to have had some great times with a great friend. Happy memories

  • :( bless

  • So very true 408KNW - The GSDs are truly the Top Dogs in every way. Could not have have put it any better. Your words sum up the breed and especially my "Puppy" perfectly. Although I should add their inspiring personalities and incredible gentleness with the awesome power they possess.

The pain never goes away and its been over two years and it still gets me inside when she is no longer trying to sit on me demanding a big hug and a game of football which she loved, everyday.

  • @TheDriverr hi ! i have never owned an alsatian b4. until i bought a bundle of fur 9mnths ago. i named him link and we have both had the most amazing time getting 2 know each other. he is my best ever friend and that day i first saw him i will never 4 get.. he has given me so much pleasure in these last few mnths i have ever had, thanku link. would never buy another breed.

  • Tears are streaming down my face. Part of my heart and soul lie buried with our shepherds Manfred and SuSu in a special plot in a shady corner of our small acreage. Lord -- what grand and noble creatures! Powerful angels with four legs -- sent to watch over us during their lives. I love and try to protect all animals -- but I must say: After you've been privileged to live with German Shepherds, all other dogs are "just dogs."

  • made me cry thinking of my dog osta and bodo and bear very sad song

  • love to all the GSD'S who have left us

  • Sorry for your loss. I came across your video when posting a tribute to my gsd dog. We had to put him to sleep 3 months ago. Out of curiosity, where did Puppy come from originally? A breeder? My dog was also born in 1999 (October). He looks very much like your dog. Also, ,if you don't mind me asking... what was it that he ultimately died from? It must have been great for Puppy to be able to run and play on the beautiful property shown in your video. Does the pain ever go away?

  • as i would say for jeremy lusk R.I.P puppy

  • I am sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful dog.. It's beyond heart wrenching, and nothing quite kills you a little on the inside when you're there by their side as they take their final breaths, while you can do nothing but cry out in pain as you watch them pass. I completely understand how you feel, I had to do the same with my GS puppy... He was only 9 months old but the CHD kicked in sooo hard there was nothing left to do and he was suffering so much. But they are beautiful, loyal dogs.

  • that was a hella nice video....really touching...

  • Just stumbled on your video by accident. I have to say Puppy bears an uncanny resemblance to our GS Ruby. I've already posted videos of her chasing a kite! She's a rescue dog, she's been with us for 18 months and I well and truely belong to her. She's my companion in every way and I love her to bits. Some sick individual abandoned her in a field, her tail was broken, chunks out of her ear and numerous problems, but she's worth every penny we've spent on her.

  • a very nice post.

    thank you.

  • #UN# , Thanks for sharing your dog with me; German Shepherds happen to be my favorite.

  • how did she die an i hope you feel a whole lot better an i bet shes thinking of you right now an all the good memories you have had together

  • D:> I used to own a german shepherd mix breed. She was my friend ever since i was a baby. She let me pull around her tail and stuff. She loved me. Until we had to put her down. I never forgave the doctors. Sorry about your dog :C R.i.p

  • i am realy sorry to hear about puppy my gsd is 6 and the # 1 most importent thing in my life if my one die i would not cope without her

  • We are adopting a 2 year old GS this saturday. This made me so sad. :(

  • really sorry about your best friend Puppy! I have two myself, one 3 and the other 1. Kelly and Buddy.. they are the closest and most best friends a guy could have!!!! they go every where I go after work, they give me SO MUCH joy and happiness everyday, good or bad, they are there for me at anytime!!!

I dread and HATE the fact ,get sad at times, that they are not going towith me one day as time flies by too fast!

REALLY sorry for what you lost, it like losing a piece of your soul. best 2u!

  • We had to put my GSD down almost 8 years ago, and it's still pure agony. I'm so sorry for your lose, and wish you the best. This was a really nice video.

  • man i had to give mine away kus i moved tosome apt. and they wouldnt let me keep him his name was rocky. i miss that dog!!!

  • That brought me to tears. I have a three year old german shepherd and he is my best friend. He is very loveable also. He thinks that he is a lap dog. He will jump up on the bed turn around a plop his butt in your lap. So sorry for your loss. They are like our children and we grieve just as though we have lost a family member...which they are.

  • soo sad, i cry at this video, i lost my dog too, in 2006... 10 years was with me every second ... soo painful when we loose our dog´s...

  • She was really fortunate to have you - thx for being the good person you are!!!!!

  • It's been 3 yrs since my beautiful shepherd maggie died of bloat at 9 yrs old.Last week, she would have been 12! i still cry every other day.I can't seem to put it to rest.maybe its the guilt of not having the money to operate on her even though the vet said its less then 50/50 chance.

  • So sorry for your loss. When we lost our last one, it was a very sad house for quite a long time. After a while we got another one. She's 2 yrs now. Each one is different, but all GSD's are wonderful. When I walk her people, say, 'I wish I had a German Shepherd." I guess everybody loves them..

  • i just had german shepherd puppies if you wnat one you can have one.

  • That brought tears to my eyes. I'd be lost without mine - the best friend ever and has been with me through everything. No one will ever come between us and I am terrified of losing him, though I know his time will come all too soon.

I have posted my tribute to him in response to yours, I hope you like it and allow it.

  • so sorry about your german shepard. has to put mine to sleep a month ago, still having a very very hard time. thank you for listening

  • i am so sorry for you

  • i know what its like, sorry for your loss

  • Just made a discovery, try viewing the video with no sound and play Celine Dion - I Surrender, breathtaking effect!

  • Played the song you used the first time, and now i'm left with goosebumbs and a longing for my late german shepherd, Kelly. What a beatiful vid and i'm terribly sorry for your loss! Noone or nothing gives you the same joy in life as a german shepherd!

  • Beautiful dog! I am sorry for your loss.

  • she was very pretty im so sorry for your loss

  • Very well done Puppy was Beautiful just relect on your time with Her and Im sure it"ll bring a warm feeling and a smile to your face They are never with us long enough but be thankful for the time that we did have with them and what a better Life that She gave you and You gave her.

  • sorry about your dog. i bet she went to heaven.

  • Right on Brother, 3 best friends I have ever had are my 3 German Shepherds. 3 times I cried like a baby was when my little brother died and put Spike an Scooter to rest. Check them out on my channels description, the photobucket link ! Beautiful Puppy ! doughboy

  • Bless you Puppy , rest in peace.

  • aww I had a shepard, Pawsie, she was 11 and I had to say by good byes and watch her get taken away to the vet, it was an unknown sickness, R.I.P puppy

    R.I.P PAWSIE

  • honestly i thoughti was the only person with a gsd called puppy lol .

  • If you were interested: the name "Puppy" came about quite by chance. Because she hadn't been very well trained she did not answer to her original name so when I took her to the vet for the first time she was given her own treatment book - on the front of that book said "Name of Puppy" and cos she looked so young and cute the name just stuck so that's why I named her "Puppy" as she liked it, as did I. So now you know why?????? I hope your "puppy" lives a long and active life,

  • Man, I had the most beautifuly german shepard - female by name Azra. She was the most smartest and loving dog that i have and that I probably would have...I had to put her to sleep after spending over ten beautifuly years together, because tumor...After this day, my soul is broken....this video make my cry!!!!

German shepards are my big love......

  • man, this just made me shed so many tears. My gsd died about 2 1/2 yrs ago, and every time i see tribute videos or nething gsd related i have to stay strong because i get overwhelmed with emotion, Her and I grew up together and ever since shes passed, Im still not remotely over it. I remember how she used to lick my face early on sunday mornings when I over slept....

oh man, neways Im so sorry for ur loss, I know how important they r us...

  • Sorry for your loss... enjoy the memories!

  • you guys are going to make me cry stoopppp.. omg i just got a german sheprd..... her named is zelda.... she is the best dog to me...... she is my compaion my loyal dog.. i klove her so much

  • sorry for your lost

i heard a hour ago that my german shepherd daisy gonna die next monday she is only 7,5 years old she has cancer in her muscles:(

sorry for my english it isnt so good

  • Our 8 yr. old beloved GS, L.A. was taken from us suddenly by poisoning about 6 wks ago. She was my husbands pride. My 2 sons and I decided to get him a pup. We can never really replace L.A. but this "little girl" will fill a void in our hearts and become the new love of our lives. We will present my husband with her on June 5th, an early Fathers Day gift. You can't replace your friend and companion but you have so much love to give, don't waste it in grief. Your heart will rejoice.

  • I feel your pain. GSD are the dog of choice in my family. Over the years my sisters, brother and I have had to mourn the loss of our beloved K-9 family members. When my Shepherd Ilsa died in 1999 she was so loved that people came to the house when they knew the end was inevitable to say good bye. When she did pass the next day everyone came to my house as though it was a funeral repass. I cried just as hard as when my daughter died 6yrs. earlier. The dog was my comfort, and then she was gone.

  • my siberian husky and golden retriever died many years ago i still feel the pain i feel your sorrow =(

  • Ive had my black lab Shepherd mix since he was a puppy. He is 9 years now and getting old, he still has alot of life in him but i have come to realize that dogs dont live very long, we just have to love them while theyre here... dont think about how bad it will be when your dog dies... Just take the best care you can of them and dont get mad cause they wanna lay on the Couch!!! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • Oh My God i cant live without my dog the day he dies they have to bury me with him. Sorry but Kaiser is my heart!

  • Hey there TDG. Maybe you should think about posting your own tribute to Kaiser if, god forbid, anything was to happen. I find making a tribute helps withthe pain as does the comments lefft by other Utube viewers.

  • Yes, I probably will do that. I allready have some things started. Ofcourse its just hard to think about it. He has saved my life twice. I had one seizure in the car, and he pulled me upright from the drivers seat so i wouldnt choke, and another from a rattler. So I could add those stories. It will break my heart. I dont think I can own any other animal after though. I bonded very close with this one. We are attached to the hip.

  • I said that too about my girl, Gem.. I lived for that dog..I come home to a empty house now and I cant ever get another. I will voulnteer my time to the GSD rescue instead. I had her since she was 5 weeks old. The most intelligent, loyal, loving devoted companion you could ever dream of. I lost her 3 months ago this Thursday and I want to be with her. We had such a spiritual connection. I am heartbroken.

  • I am very sorry for your loss!

It is indeed painful. I know no words can heal your heart. God bless. Gem is in heaven looking down. You have an extra guardian angel hon.

  • that message was in part for you also (-:

  • A beautiful dog with a very swee look about her. I could tell she was well taken care of and deeply loved. Hope with time your heart heals.

  • well if its any consillation that dog looked like it had the life of riley

  • I am truly sorry your friend passed away buddy.

  • All dogs go to Heaven.

  • Yes you very well be right, my friend.. I replied,on Utube, to a young girl who lost her dog, who she loved very much. She couldn't understand why. I replied that the angels needed a very special puppy in heaven like mine and yours, so they searched the whole world and chose our dogs. If she was to look up in the night sky and see the two brightest stars shining together those were our puppies helping to look after all the dogs in heaven, looking down and keeping watch over us, for eternity.

  • @TheDriverr That is very well said.

  • Very moving tribute for the very special and beautiful Puppy

  • One of the best Tribute videos I ever seen. Music is perfect for this kind of video. Im sorry for your loss... :'( She was a real beauty.

  • lol love the name i have had a cat for 18 years now and he never really got a name its always been ''kitty'' i dont know what ill do when hes gone hes like my son

  • sorry for your loss. i have a gsd female 1 yrs old and thats a day i try to not think about at all. sorry bro.

  • Oh, I'm just in tears. They don't live long enough, do they? Puppy obviously was lucky to have her life with an owner who loved her so very much. I hope that when the day comes when I die, my beautiful Tosca will be waiting for me on "our field" with a frisbee in her mouth and a wag in her tail.

Remember, it's such a priviledge to share the short time they're given, and the pain of losing them is only matched by the joy of having loved them.

  • So sorry for your loss. I've lost a few myself and know the feeling. I still have 2 GSD's and will always have one as long as I am able.

  • RIP Puppy...so sad

  • that broke my heart.. i had to let go of my shepherd 10 years ago and i still miss him

  • you can pull through it peace

  • I hope this brings you comfort till the day your joined in heaven with pupppy again! God bless you. Roksana

  • Thanks to you MC and all the others for kind cmments - I hope you liked the video - though none of your comments actually mentioned that fact!!! I'm sure you did. I wanted to improve it by increasing the number of pictures of "puppy" towards the end but cannot bring myself to change it. This was straight from the heart and compiled on the day she died. I feel to "mess around" with it now would lose the emotional impact of the video.

  • When your time has come to join me, I will be waiting to greet you and to forever guide you through the endless fields with an infinite love and passion for our external bond.

One last word of farewell, dear Master.

Know that no matter how deep my sleep,

I shall hear you call my name

and not all the power of death

can keep my spirit from wagging a grateful tail.

  • You will see me when the sun glistens on my back as I run through the grass before you.

Feel certain, my dear Master, that I will always be with you. That is my destiny I so gladly fulfill. And you in turn provided me with all my needs, and with an affection that transcends mortal feelings and becomes a love born of devotion to one's soul and spirit.

  • Dear Master,

    Please

Remember me always, but do not grieve for me too long.

In my life I have tried to be a comfort to you in difficult times

and a reason for added joy and happiness in the good times.

Know that I am in a place where one is forever young,

where there will always be someone to throw a ball for me,

where there is no more pain and no more fear,

and there is always time to remember the love of one's Master.

So walk gently my Master, and I will be there with you always.

  • What a special beautiful tribute. Puppy must be smiling from where she is. I have a special love for the german shepherd. You are an amazing beautiful person. Puppy was truly blessed as you were to have had each other. God bless!

  • omg i am so sorry to hear about your dog. i couldnt stop crying while i was watching this .

  • I'm sorry for you. R.I.P

  • That was such a lovely tribute and I feel so much empathy with you as I lost my GS Emma only 3 weeks ago. I adopted her 2 and a half years ago and she had a lovely retirement with me (she was 12 when she died), like your beautiful girl she had had numerous homes and ended up in her twilight years with me and I feel so lucky to have spent her last couple of years with her. She was also a softie and the most gentle natured dog I had ever met. A true beautiful soul. My thoughts are with you.

  • Maybe you should compile a tribute of your own to "your" Emma. I've found it helps through the pain, which you must suffering. I can only hope it gets better for you over time but nvever goes away entirely. Peace and RIP "Emma". Maybe they are playing together, and chasing rabbits in their own field of sunshine, waiting for the day when we are to be re-united... whos knows...

  • I am extreamly sorry for your loss! I cried from your video. :( I just lost my best friend, Dutchess. She was the best german shepard. She would never leave your side. One time when I was little I wondered outside when my parents weren't looking and they found not only me but Dutchess by my my side not going to let anything happen to me. I love her. Once again sorry for your loss <3

  • I have just watched your video through tears and tears, am so sorry for your loss. I lost my German Shepherd, Heidi, September 2007 and life has never been the same since, miss her every minute of every day. She was thirteen and a half years old, we had been out walking that morning, she was fine, came home, she had her breakfast, an hour later she had a stroke, it was all over in 30 seconds, such a shock. She was so gentle, so loving, simply the best.

  • I still remember all the events of that day in 1988 when I lost my Abbi, I feel your pain..Keep the memories and NEVER forget them..

  • dammed, u tube make me felt so melankolis :(( :((

wish the best for you and may puppy rest in peace

  • Thanks to you and everyone for their kind responses. I feel I know "Puppy" would want to thank you all too in her own way... When I think of her I feel sad, but never for long - a smile always appears on my face, and she will always have a special place in my heart, forever.

  • I wish I could was able to tribute my 2 German Shepherd dogs, I lost my OSO and Ranger, 22 and 20 years ago respectively, I know what it feels like, i also wish I will have them with me now.

  • Paul, my blessings to you. This video made me cry, it truely did. Puppy was lucky to have you for an owner for the last 6 years of her life, and I'm sure those were her happiest. I'm very sorry about your lost loved one. I know its over a month later, but continue to hang in there.

  • I too faced the loss of my GSD 2wks ago! Ryder was only 8 month old, my FAVORITE of the litter. He should never have died! I sold him to what I thought was a GREAT life, they sent him to a handler/trainer she wanted to co-own him w/me. She left him w/a friend who let him run w/horses, his femur was broken! They killed him for lack of money & lack of a law that requires vets to check microchips/tattoos BEFORE euthanasia. I would never have let him die! Blessings... ENTICIA

  • Paul, Puppy was a 'very' fortunate dog to have found your arms to hold her in! Her life of six years spent with you was everything she could have wanted. More I am sure of it! As breeders I pray for my dogs to be blessed with such homes and love! It is a hard choice to make for me to continue breeding as with everything that is within my power to secure my pups future, when that car drives off I am now realizing I am powerless to help them anymore! Blessings... Enticia of d n' e!

  • omg i am soo sorry i know how you feel i lost my german sheperd like 3 years ago and i had him for 10 years i wanst even with him when he died since i had to come and live in the us and we couldnt bring him i feel like i betrayed him and i will never forgive myself for that when i got the called that he died i was at a party and every stupid persn was sayin "come on its just a dog get over it" but im sure you know what it feels like to lose someone you really love - great video!

  • I still grieve badly for my sweet and now departed "Puppy". Though it does get easier over time, but not much. I felt an enormous sense of guilt when I had to have her put down. The strong bond between us + our dogs is difficult to describe to a mere "ordinary" person. I felt so guilty that maybe I should have done more for her. She was in pain so I dit it coz I loved her. I coudn't go out of the house for two days, and I didn't eat. I'm sorry for loss too. I'm so glad you like the video.

  • Nice tribute to your dog. Know the feeling.... I just lost mine companion of 11 years to cancer. She was 11. There wasn't single bad day during those 11 years - only joy. She is being missed very much.... Man and his Dog: a bond very few on the outside will understand until they actually live it

  • Very nice tribute to your friend, remember....

always blessings, never losses. You were both blessed to had found each other. They give so much with so little expected in return.

    My Sympathies

  • thank you- just watched yours, i'm very sorry... she has a lovely face, full of personality. don't worry brother, it gets better, i promise. but for now... grieve... it's good. the pain is deep i know... but soon enough, you'll find yourself remembering the great times... and less about the sad. i've found it's my way of honoring them. they've touched us in such special ways, i can only describe... it's as if i caught a glimpse of God... hang in there Paul... she's still w/you... always...

  • Tha was Beautiful.

  • Thanks for your kind comment. I didnt really have a clue how to use movie player when i made this. i feel it needs more pics at the end. I have them but it's just finding the time and getting used to the software. I am in grief at the moment so not at my best. She was truly "one in a ten thousand Billion" dog.
