I was in the exact same situation as him I grew up with the prequals but dont get me wrong I love all six Star Wars films my favorties being "Revenge Of The Sith' and "Return Of The Jedi"

Red Letter Media isn't infallable. I don't care if they dislike the movies (it's all opinion) but it isn't the end all of the argument. Take for example that each of them would be only 2/3 as long if you took out all of the filler concerning kidnapping hookers and pizza rolls. And at times in the second two reviews he re-iterated things he had said before.
i actually like the prequels. Phantom Menace was okay, it had its flaws and was boring at times but had its fair share of entertainment. Attack of the Clones was pretty awesome, the romance scenes were dull but the action makes up for it. Revenge of the Sith was just great, it connected the dots to A New Hope greatly and i actually cared about what was happening the whole film
The prequels just aren't good movies man. Sure, they might seem like a fun ride to some people but lets be honest, they just aren't engaging in any way. Prequels: Character depth- Virtually non-existant. Plot- unengaging, chock full of coincidences to the point of rediculousness. Special effects- great until viewer is super-saturated by CGI and it loses dramatic effect substantially. Fight scenes- near-constant action, 100% badass moves, still somehow boring. (super-saturation once again)
The most intelligent defense of the Star Wars Prequel trilogy I have ever seen. You've earned my sub just for this! I agree with a lot of what you say, and that the prequels are overly-hated. To be honest, the only thing about the prequels that even still bothers me is that the writing is much poorer than the originals. Most people blame the actors *cough* HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN *cough* when, in reality, they should blame the writers. Still, they were all great movies.

Qui Gon does some absurd things in the movies (like trying to warn the planet that an invasion is coming by sneaking on board an invasion ship). The story in those movies isn't complicated at all, it just makes no sense. And the overuse of CGI makes everything look fake. And that is a bad thing. Wile I see why you would imitate Zero Punctuation, it makes you look like a copy cat.
