Yet again Montreal delivers the goods. NASCAR have to pull out all the stops to make sure we keep going to Montreal in some capacity, it's one of the best-supported, most entertaining, consistently fun races we have anywhere on the NASCAR calender. It's bad enough that they screw over tracks with character in the US (e.g. stripping LOR of it's dates to get NNS to race at the Brickyard), but if they let this race slip away it'll be a travesty. Five years, five awesome races, can't beat that!
@Carsandmotorracing I said the exact same thing after the race. Jeez, I can't WAIT for next year when she's running full time - 'oh, there's a great battle for the lead going on, but lets ignore that to check in on Danica, OMG SHE'S RUNNING 27TH!! THATS SOOO GOOOD', all year long. I agree, shoulda interviewed/spent more time talking to Tag, McDowell, Brian Scott, Scott Speed etc. The guys who actually ran a great race and deserve the praise.
@herhsv Erm, unless your talking about the fact he has 1 Sprint Cup win, you might wanna check your facts - he's a 3-time winner at Watkins Glen in the NNS, and has found every which way to loose Montreal for the last few years, so it's great to see him finally take the win.
@NightFightah woow. a 4 time winner over there & a 2 time V8 Supercar winner here in Australia. Not bad. He has alot of catching up to do before you call him CHAMP...
@Carsandmotorracing Probably because its her first start at montreal, and she is awesome?? I dont know. Shouldve interviewed Maryeve Dufault even though she finished 5 laps down.
good thing that this was the most uneventful finish :)
Also glad Marcos finally won this thing....I expected him to blow up on the front stretch though.
