i cant wait till i can actually jump i usually go up in the c47 but dont jump . i love even just sitting in the c47. i actually found out our c47 was a thing called a spooky durring vietnam but im not sur if they got it from surplus after wwii or the koreabln war ADD ME

But in the door there is no fear of heights, you are too high for your brain to compute it the way it does standing on a ladder or scafolding.

any advice for a future paratrooper im in high school gona enlist in the Marines and plan on getting parachute and diving qualified so any advice would be great and im not a big fan of heights lol

do a civi jump first

or find your local 10m dive board and jump from it.

it's harder to jump from the 10m dive board then from the plane

No way, we are not reanactors. We jump to honor all WW2 vets and change the shoulder patch depending on what DZ we jump to salute them. We do not try to be a certain PIR or Co.

This is a stupid question, but I must ask. I read somewhere and it said that the 101st aren't parachutists anymore, they just keep the title for historical reasons? Is this true, or do they still parachute?

During the Vietnam war the 101st was redesignated as "Air Mobile," which was later re-termed to the modern "Air Assault." They no longer parachute, but instead focus on rapid deployment by the use of helicopters, sling loading, and occasionally rapelling.
