Hey, when you crouch it looks as if you have stealth boy active. How is that possible? Is there a certain quest needed to have the item or is it just for 100 sneak?

HOLY SHIT! I WAS HOPING TO GET and i just did it, in the same place, i mean, i don't see the explosion, just the sound than i look up and was a black smoke and some radiation, i get exactly front of the rocket and i was with dogmeat xD! i'm soooo happy!

@boothbuster1288 If the crash happened then there has to be a gun, if you reload the save from before the crash you should be able to trigger the event again.

@tommymahavolich Dedicated about 2 hours or so and kept waiting by flak 'N Shrapnel and buying their inventory of .44s. Usually the cycle is about 3 days till they get new stuff, hope that helps.

Alright, so I did this at a differnt location and got the event. But, I couldn't find the gun so i waited till night and it saved my game and still couldn't find it. So i loaded from before and deleted the autosave from waiting and haven't gotten the event since, even after 60+ tries. Do you think, autosaving my game screwed me over even though I deleted it?

@TheBreadfan72 Quicksave only works with the PC version of the game. And yes it is possible to find the gun just lying around somewhere in the game, normally the sign is that you will see some of the ammo (they glow in the dark). Found it once in a different character north of the map, on the way to "Clifftop Shacks". Hope that helps.

somehow i found the firelance on a raider in a little raider outpost. bastard almost killed me in one shot to the head. even more random was that a few minutes before that, i heard an explosion while walking to rivet city(lvl6) and alien power cells just rained on me. i didnt complain, i just wished i found more ammo for it. lol

Dude, I did this, and got the explosion my second time reloding the save and got 7 APCs, but while I was scavenging for the gun, 2 giant radscorpians pop up out of nowhere, and kill me before I can get to the Firelance.

I've been reloading the save ever since, and so far, the explosion hasnt happened again. Will it ever happen again, or did those damn Radscorpians just screw me over?

@TheMansunite96 This can happen anywhere, the area chosen is just a more controlled environment so I can find it when it does happen that's all. And this only happens once per profile.

I found mine at lvl19 somewhere in DC ruins while I was in a talon company ambush and one of em took it and killed me. I WAS SO CHEEZED!

I later found one at lvl20 but I couldnt find it for like an hour and just as I gave up I stumbled over it :D

I got lucky with mine. I heard a odd electrical noise then an explosion. After that I heard a clank and all these alien power cells were around, that gave me a clue that the firelance was around. I found mine around tenpenny tower.

This is actually a spot for multiple random encounters..While playing fallout I got about 10 random enounters by the same loading after and after...Like the one where the people fight for the water,the one where a crippled deathclaw kills a wastelander with a certain schematic. And A LOT more. Sure hope this fact helped :D

Guys this is a random event I found this to the left of dunwich building today but I hav also found this gun on another profile outside super duper mart if u hear and see a big missile looking thing in the sky look around if u find an alien power cell save it then keep looking for more ammo and the firelance good luck!
