It just happened to be filmed on that particular day during their highschool homecoming spirit week. That day was "dress alike/twins" day, the girls weren't sharing clothes. Thanks for asking...
Great video, US Census. But the teenagers morphed into different races between 0:18 and 4:21. The girls are even sharing the same clothes. Was this really necessary? There are better ways to show token multiculturalism.
I am Madison Williams, a hard of hearing student, & I share a class with those teens.
It's just coincidence that our deaf/hard of hearing class is diverse & I'm sorry that it seems like we're TRYING to show "token multiculturalism." Like they said above, it was our HOMECOMING week. My apologies for the girls having school spirit. It upsets me that you would have to focus on the most INSIGNIFICANT detail of the video. Send your census in. PERIOD. That's the ONLY point we're trying to get across
Don't get me wrong, I think the video is doing a great service. I just get distracted by little (yes, insignificant) things like that. Send in your census, everyone!
