I already knew who they were before they became famous in the us. I am not Korean I am filipino but I watch Korean dramas and one of the singers was an actress in an episode.
this is what happens when news stations/blogs/vlogs in the states talk about asian artists/groups. they make it sound like no one knows them in the states, yet there are THOUSANDS of fans across the country that know of and/or love them. They aren't in the mainstream music here, but for many (like me) kpop is the only thing I EVER listen to and we've known about them since they debuted.

I've heard of Wondergirls ever since they first they appeared in 2007. They are just a link is a long list of Korean girl groups. There were groups before them like "SES" that would easily have competed with the best American bands. 2009/2010 saw the rise of many new girl groups in S.K. including another group from the W.G.'s company called "Mis A."
Love WG! Been a fan since I came across them somehow and I liked them with "So Hot "and "Tell Me." About that time I began liking them. There's so many talented KPop artist's out there that should debut here in the U.S. Bi (Rain) has been doing well in movies and now he needs to his singing. He's so amazing. I also like 2ne1, SS501, Big Bang, Lee Hyori, Kara, Kan Miyoun. Korea has such amazing artist's there's something for everyone. WG fighting!
as much as i love the wonder girls. i don't think their music is a style that main stream america likes.... really, i think big bang or 2ne1 are the only ones who have a chance. If the YG artists don't come in groups, they could come as solo artists. Taeyang already has an american and canada fanbase... his korean album reached #2 and #1 in their R&B charts.

( take Boa for example... here vid directed by korean director is way better than the American director...) Not that many people really truly care about the entertainment that goes here... this is what happens when news stations/blogs/vlogs in the states talk about asian artists/groups. they make it sound like no one knows them in the states, yet there are THOUSANDS of fans across the country that know of and/or love them. They aren't in the mainstream music here, but for many (like me) kpop is the only thing I EVER listen to and we've known about them since they debuted.
This goes for most Asian artists

Wonder girls are great, even little kids enjoy watching their videos, my nieces love the catchy songs, especially nobody and trust me, when the songs in your head, it's hard to get rid of. besides, they're great artists and they always put their best effort out their on their live performances also! so, yes i Agree that they have the potential to make it!

@nikiv23 snsd wouldn't go to the states because they would only appeal to very little kids. their songs are generally very childish and youthful. but then parents would be angry that them for wearing revealing clothing like they do and they wouldn't want that influence on their kids, so they wouldn't be very good in the US. their looks are geared towards men, but their songs would only work for children in the united states. see the conflict?

I've heard of Wondergirls ever since they first they appeared in 2007. They are just a link is a long list of Korean girl groups. There were groups before them like "SES" that would easily have competed with the best American bands. 2009/2010 saw the rise of many new girl groups in S.K. including another group from the W.G.'s company called "Mis A."

Love WG! Been a fan since I came across them somehow and I liked them with "So Hot "and "Tell Me." About that time I began liking them. There's so many talented KPop artist's out there that should debut here in the U.S. Bi (Rain) has been doing well in movies and now he needs to his singing. He's so amazing. I also like 2ne1, SS501, Big Bang, Lee Hyori, Kara, Kan Miyoun. Korea has such amazing artist's there's something for everyone. WG fighting!

as much as i love the wonder girls. i don't think their music is a style that main stream america likes.... really, i think big bang or 2ne1 are the only ones who have a chance. If the YG artists don't come in groups, they could come as solo artists. Taeyang already has an american and canada fanbase... his korean album reached #2 and #1 in their R&B charts.
