This water bottle was an average speed, so it could have left the cannon at around 90 mph, but hit the target at around 45.

Oddly enough, JibJib11 is half correct. Average person can throw a baseball between 55 and 60 mph. The point that was missed, however, was the 157 feet in 1.6 seconds. The throw will not maintain the speed nor velocity as well as the spud gun.

We measured the length of the floor, or rather the horizontal distance that the bottle travelled, and divided that by the time interval from when the air cannon was fired till the bottle hit the wall at the end of the hallway.

I forget the exact numbers but it was moving just above 65mph. It was actually like around 65.35mph-ish
