  • remember buying this on 12 - this is an awful mix - it's a guitarbath - far too much impro (3mins) on electrics ... killed the original version :(

  • Seriously? Well, tear it up!

  • nice song

  • nothing poetic

just a nicely paced, dark, bass driven masterpiece with 50% extra free.

    win/win

  • @fuckweed

  • 20+ years later and still going strong! Long live the Sisters of Mercy

  • This was a classic club tune back in the day. Man, I miss those days...

  • I could listen to this song all day.

  • the 80's -90's goth scene glad I experienced this time it was like no other...forever and forever

  • Awesome and Epic! The standard by which I judge all Goth Rock! Patricia is one hell of a talented Bass player that was always able to come up with that memorable Bass line that would underscore the song. This is my favorite by them!

  • saw them in concert -great fucking show man-right on

  • Awesome! Extended version I'd great! I've wanted to hear this for years. I remember

First hearing it in 1988 when I was 15 and into Rock music and loved it. Still love it now. Thanks so much for posting it! Awesome memories of teens and skateboarding!

  • Excellent song

  • Fantastic!

  • i was 18 or 19 when this song and "Floodland" came out in 1987. My friends and I didn't call ourselves "goth" but i guess we were the 1st wave goth in America according a 28yr "goth" girl friend of mine. We just listened to Bau Haus, The Damned, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Love and Rockets, The Mission UK, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Smiths etc and dressed all in black, the guy wore eyeliner (im a guy) and the girls wore epic makeup, we smoke cloves & wore Ankhs. Guess we were Goth! ;)

  • @TakeMeBackTo1986 dude when you invent the time machine let me know....I so wanna live that age!

  • @TakeMeBackTo1986

I loved the music during this time too. I always wished guys would keep wearing the eyeliner and dress. I was 17 when that came out, and didn't discover it until I found an underground music club when I was 20 or 21. I remember seeing Peter Murphy at a concert on the Detroit River. Awesome concerts back then. People weren't holding up cell phones to post to Youtube...we were fully present and absorbing every moment.

  • @BloodySanitarium This is the most epic fucking anthem of all time! I blast this when I am out and about and I'm amazed when a few people can tell me who sings it and the name of the song. This is my jam on the way to/from work and after the track ends I replay it. Rick Roll's Never gonna give you up track is fun to play too out in public but most people get mad hahahahaha! xD
