Pres. Siad Barre was a regime dictator and his gov't was based on Secular gov't (w/o religion). It's like the Turkish gov't.
Democracy gov't is better than Secular one.

people from the south of Somalia are pretty mixed with bantu people from surrounding countries. But not to see things from old race system - he is just mixed, not worse than semitic speaking people from Ethiopia/Eritrea and not better, equal. I am fan of Somaliland free republic, they are democratic enough to live freely in their country, what I heard...and they have good success! that one time will be Somalia functional state of proud people.

How would anyone know who should lead?is it the physically strong but mentally incompetent?or maybe its the other way around? i for sure know that the islamic courts were not ripe to rule anybody and i personally blame them for the occupation that is now going on, why? in order to govern oneself you need to know yourself ie your strenghy and even more importantly your weaknesses.

And Habasha in Latin is Abyssinia, a region at that time, ruled by a Negus or نخاشي .Bilal is known as Bilal alHabashi just as Salman is known as Salman alFarisi or Suhayb, Suhayb arRumi. Why do I mention Bilal being a Habashi, because Im sick of tribalistic racist Somalis always bashing his race, which many of are indeed Muslims.
