  • toms hardware = Intel marketing

Intel marketing= who can we pay to lie for us

if intel is so much better than amd why is it that a lowly sempron can absolutely eat a celeron alive, more core performance my ass, my athlon 64(single core) from 1996 still faster than a celeron 2005 with a higher clock and cache.

  • I remember when i took the cooler of my pentium 3 while running counte-rstrike 1.6, the processor was smoking and fucked within 10 sec

  • lol... the fan on the first intel cpu was not even running when placed back... and the game speeds up? damn... fake crap

  • @pogularocky you forgot the radiator thats bellow the fan. is there for beauty? probably not

  • @poisonarrow8

Unless that experiment was conducted in an another dimension of space-time-continuum, the usual laws of physics and thermal science apply to the Pentium processor and hence it is impossible for it to cool down to an operational temperature and start functioning in full performance mode in mere nanoseconds. It would have taken it a good 15 to 20 seconds, at least. So, yes, I still think it is as fake as Pamela's lip job.

  • @pogularocky Intel Pentium Processors are designed to operate at 70 degree celcius.

  • How obviously fake can it get. It goes slow the game then when he puts fan on ... not moving. It speeds up faster than it would normally?! Wtf.

  • There's not really a debate here, for 2 reasons.

    1. Those processors are old as fuck.

    2. If you run your computer without a heatsink, you're stupid, and therefore deserve to have your processor die on you.

  • @Terry1212 this is the best comment i've seen in awhile

  • Hey, it's made in Malaysia. What performance do you think you'll get?

  • The song is really nice, I wonder what's its name...

  • I think this responds to the problems some PCs had back then, that the coolers were accidentaly detached fue to the gravity...

I've seen AMD PCs whose coolers were detached...

  • 0:29---->the fan is down but the video is already...working out??...PWNED..!!shit

  • what is name of music plz?

  • Well good thing i'm not retarded enough TO RUN MY PC WITHOUT A COOLER

  • intel just buyed this ppl

  • Dockame sa aj testov novsich procesorov ako Core 2 a Athlon, popripadne aj dake z I serie vs Phenom???

  • fake ofc man. 29C with no cooler ? my old P4 hits like 70C with a cooler ... and 2GHz vs a AMD Athlon 1400 ? thats fair, older stuff = less thermal protection, the AMD CPU locks up now and shuts down if it passes a certain temperature ...

  • It is a FAKE & CRAP, Look at first 26-31 sec. of this video!. INTEL-Fan is down and suddenly game start working !! Shame they're payed by INTEL !!

  • když tam autor přiloží chladič, tak teplo z procesoru jde do toho chladiče a jádro procesoru se ochladí, čim jinym by se dala ovlivnit rychlost hry... ?

  • @rev937 These are ancient CPUs' that have low power and heat. The fan isn't so necessary. Dumb shit.

  • @rev937 You ever heard of distribution of heat? The moment you pull it down, that aluminum base will dissipate whatever heat the core is distributing, and Aluminum is one of the most well-conducted metals to dissipate heat. Not to mention Aluminum becomes colder ten times quicker than steel or iron. I'd say 5-10 minutes is enough to have the base of that cooler... cold. :D

  • @rev937 Oh wow your're right! MOTHERFUCKERS!! FUCK YOU TOM.

  • @rev937 If the processor is making contact with the heatsink, it's what matters for few seconds.

  • @rev937 FIRST LET ME EXPLAIN YOU Faboy,

When he removes the cooler the intel processor clocked itself down to protect from overheating, you can see that the fps drops...

but when he puts the heatsink back on, the heat can be lead away from the cpu die and the Cpu clocks itself back up. but still when the heatsink gets too hot it wil clock itself down again.

  • @rev937 dude are you blind or something

  • @rev937 YOUR really intelligent they are payed by intel because at 1st 26-31.

  • @rev937 Well, maybe it isn't fake... ok, fan isnt working, but the heat sink sure does something when in contact with the chip, even if fan isn't turning

Btw, I'm not a hardware nerd, so I can be wrong ;)

  • @JABBOS2 you might be on to something. before i learned how to install thermal compound properly i had a p4 that would get hot (btw i will never spread compound again after this, it does not work. the pea sized portion in the center does). it would slow to a craw lol. it was funny, the delta oem dell fan sounded like a hairdryer lol.

  • @rev937 are you fucking retarded..toms hardware just shares information. they are not bought out by anyone. quit being an AMD fan and pay a bit more to get a better processor.

  • These are old CPUs. Do the newer ones do this?

  • this is one of the reasons why i prefer intel.

  • To all fanboyfags: Intel is known for running cool, on my shitty stock air cooling FULL LOAD like lagging as much as possible on killing floor fan running @ 60% for no noise I max @ 40c.

AMD is a cheap alt, but still good.

  • @blastoiseover9000

what the fuck did you say? none of that made any sense

  • 0:32 is totaly fake!

I have the same processor in like 2 pc's, and they all are like 45 c idle WITH cooler, and this video says 29 c WITHOUT cooler, that's gay.

  • I agree. It would mean that there are on a -150°c room :o.

  • these test are so dam old i wish they would dissapear and be replaced with some new test

  • It wouldn't be very interesting, both CPU's have technology that underclocks the processor and then turns it off if it gets too hot.

  • so what does this test show?:D would u ever put the cpu cooler off when ur system is running?so stupid...

  • hehe 370c FTW :D

  • It was Setup To Prove Intel Is Better :S Anyway That was in past See All Phenmons 3x and 4x its Even Cooler than Intel :S , Damn.

  • UR RITE BRO, TEST ON THE NEW QUAD PROCC

  • this is rigged! i did the test myself! the pentium 4 was the only thing with damage! other than that they all just slowed down

  • and what about the cooler on p4 fan was not working when he suddenly put the cooler again

  • reason why not to take cpu sink off

  • omg this is all crap try to put off my p4 sink off it will burn is seconds lol

  • YA right!!! 370C??? no physical way for that to occur

  • do you know what would happen when cpu is at 370 c

if would melt the whole sistem or burn not just smoke up

  • No crap i ment that with only a small amount of electricity there is no way.

  • ye and i meant that just 370 c would melt the cpu and heat mobo and actualy melt the mobo and chain effect boom big flame

  • The AMD was ceramic, so it was possible indeed for the die to reach 370 without making an inferno.

  • even without inferno whole cpu would glow red you could deform it in any way you want

  • This is silly...in what world would you need to design a processor to run with out a heat sink and still expect to game. Intel has a design feature that steps down the cpu.

  • wtf 29c is really cool for a cpu this video is boot leg and you use really old cpu's

  • intel are best I AM ON ONE NOW !HA!

  • Phenom FX > Ci7

  • yeah... i dont see amds performance hit intels anytime soon

  • Intel all the way

  • i prefer AMD, i can´t speak englisch SORRY

  • it looks like intel have creamed amd in your video

  • how about my beast intel dual core e2140 1.60ghz 1.60ghz X

  • @Davidsob03 Well they are a cheap solutions for those who doesn't want to pay for high performance Intel processors. (Some materials of Intel that is).

  • @Davidsob03

    that was english

  • Hi. Which AMD products are you referring to?

  • amd has stepped up to the plate and has intel sweating now XD

  • lame

  • yeah, after Intel CPUs do that for years

  • they do dont they yea

  • That no longer happens to AMD products, and I believe that from a 3D games perspective, those AMD processors were streets ahead of the competition. All AMD products now sport full thermal overload protection.
